Amazon Content Services has released the official theme music for NBA on Prime. The composition, entitled Victory, is written by Grammy Award-winning artist Common in collaboration with musicians and composers Karriem Riggins (Mo, Alice) & Grammy Award winner James Poyser (Boxing Day, Long Bright River, Maxine’s Baby: The Tyler Perry Story) and is now available to stream/download as a digital single on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The theme was recorded last month at Ocean Way Studio in Nashville with a 60-piece orchestra and will serve as the signature sound for NBA on Prime each week beginning with the 2025-26 season, which just launched last night on Prime Video.

Soundtrack Album for Peacock’s ‘Long Bright River’ to Be Released
Madison Gate Records will release a soundtrack album for the Peacock limited series Long Bright River. he album features selections of the show’s original music composed by James Poyser (Boxing Day, The Equalizer, Maxine’s Baby: The Tyler Perry Story) & Dimitri Smith (The Diplomat, My Divorce Party, Confession). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 14 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Long Bright River is developed by Nikki Toscano & Liz Moore (based on her novel of the same title) and stars Amanda Seyfried, Nicholas Pinnock, Ashleigh Cummings, Callum Vinson, John Doman, Dash Mihok, Matthew Del Negro, Britne Oldford and Harriet Sansom Harris. The 8-parter follows a police officer investigating a series of murders in a Philadelphia neighborhood hard-hit by the opioid crisis who realizes that her personal history might be related to the case.

Premiering on Thursday, March 13, is the British Netflix limited series Adolescence created by Jack Thorne & Stephen Graham and starring Gaham, Ashley Walters, Erin Doherty, Christine Tremarco, Owen Cooper, Faye Marsay and Amélie Pease. The show’s original music is composed by Aaron May & David Ridley (Boiling Point, Malpractice, Accused, Villain, Arsène Wenger: Invincible). A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score will be announced soon. The 4-part crime drama, which revolves around a 13-year-old who is accused of the murder of a classmate, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
Also premiering on Thursday is the horror comedy The Parenting directed by Craig Johnson and starring Nik Dodani, Brandon Flynn, Brian Cox, Edie Falco, Lisa Kudrow,Dean Norris, Vivian Bang and Parker Posey. Nathan Larson (Dirty Pretty Things, Boys Don’t Cry, Our Idiot Brother, Tigerland, Margin Call, Juliet, Naked) has composed the film’s original music. A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score will be released by WaterTower Music. James Poyser Scoring Amazon’s ‘Maxine’s Baby: The Tyler Perry Story’
Songwriter/music producer and composer James Poyser (of The Roots) has recently scored the upcoming documentary Maxine’s Baby: The Tyler Perry Story. The film is directed by Gelila Bekele & Armani Ortiz and centers on the writer, actor, filmmaker, studio head and media titan. The movie follows Perry as he becomes a father and media mogul with a mission to pave his own road to the top. Bekele is also producing the project with Jasmine K. White and Asante White (Tyson’s Run, The Other Side).
‘Boxing Day’ Soundtrack Released
Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album for the British romantic comedy Boxing Day. The album features the film’s original music composed by James Poyser (of The Roots). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Boxing Day is co-written and directed by Aml Ameen and stars Ameen himself, Aja Naomi King, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Tamara Lawrance, Samson Kayo, Sheyi Cole, Joshua Maloney, Lisa Davina Phillip, Claire Skinner and Stephen Dillane. The movie revolves around a British author living in America who returns home to London for the holidays to introduce his American fiance to his eccentric British-Caribbean family.
