Nathan Larson (Dirty Pretty ThingsBoys Don’t Cry, Tigerland, Margin Call, Our Idiot Brother, VinylJuliet, Naked) has provided the original score for the upcoming horror comedy The Parenting. The film is directed by Craig Johnson (Wilson, True Adolescents) and stars Nik Dodani, Brandon Flynn, Brian Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Edie Falco, Dean Norris, Parker Posey and Vivian Bang. The movie follows a young a couple  as they plan a perfect weekend getaway in the country to introduce their parents, but as tensions begin to flare between the families, they soon realize that their rental is haunted by the presence of a 400-year-old poltergeist. Kent Sublette (Lucky) wrote the screenplay. Chris Bender (A History of Violence, The Butterfly Effect) and Jake Weiner (Mulan, My Spy) are producing the New Line Cinema & Good Fear Content production. Larson has previously collaborated with Johnson on the features The Skeleton Twins and Alex Strangelove. The Parenting will premiere on March 13, 2025 on Max.
