A24 Music will release a soundtrack album for the Prime Video original series Overcompensating. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Alex Somers (Nickel Boys, Captain Fantastic, Honey Boy, Holland, Together, Together, Causeway, Dawson City: Frozen Time, Aloha, Charm City Kings). Charli XCX serves as the series’ executive music producer and is credited on several tracks. George Daniel & The Japanese House have also contributed music. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 18 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Overcompensating is created by Benito Skinner and stars Skinner himself, alongside Wally Baram, Mary Beth Barone, Rish Shah, Adam DiMarco, Corteon Moore, Owen Thiele, Nell Verlaque and Tomaso Sanelli. The comedy follows a closeted former football player and homecoming king as he becomes fast friends with an outsider on a mission to fit in at all costs.

John Debney Scoring Adam Shankman’s ‘The Man with the Bag’
John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Elf, Iron Man 2, The Jungle Book, The Emperor’s New Groove, Hocus Pocus) has recently been recording his score for the upcoming holiday comedy The Man with the Bag. The film is directed by Adam Shankman (Hairspray, Bedtime Stories) and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Alan Ritchson, Awkwafina, Liza Koshy, Kyle Mooney, Ken Jeong, Michael Cyril Creighton, Berkeley James, Adrian Martinez, Roger Bart, Jesmille Darbouze, Karren Karagulian, Gabi Samels, Jane Krakowski and Murray Hill. The movie follows Santa who – together with his daughter and a group of misfits – has to pull of his greatest heist to save Christmas when his magic bag gets stolen.

Lakeshore Records will a soundtrack album for the Prime Video original series The Girlfriend. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Ruth Barrett (Bodyguard, The Terminal List, The Old Guard 2, Victoria, The Decameron, Law & Order: Organized Crime, Collateral, Sanditon, Harry Brown). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, September 12 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The Girlfriend is developed by Naomi Sheldon & Gabbie Asher based on the novel of the same title by Michelle Frances and stars Robin Wright, Olivia Cooke, Laurie Davidson, Tayna Moodie, Waleed Zuaiter, Anna Chancellor, Leo Suter, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Karen Henthorn and Francesca Corney. The show is based on an original story idea and written by Coben (Missing You, Fool Me Once) & Danny Brocklehurst (Brassic, A Teacher) and stars Sam Claflin, Bill Nighy, Alexandra Roach, David Fynn, Karla Crome and Kate Ashfield. The 6-part thriller follows a man who returns home after his father dies by suicide and quickly becomes entangled in a series of cold-case murders as he grapples with the mystery of his father’s death and his sister’s murder 25 years ago.
