Christian Henson (The Devil’s Double, Triangle, Black Death, Wild Bill, Tommy’s Honour, Chasing Liberty) has recently been recording his score for the upcoming British creature feature Unwelcome. The film is directed by Jon Wright (Tormented) and stars Hannah John-Kamen, Douglas Booth, Colm Meaney, Jamie-Lee O’Donnell, Chris Walley and Kristian Nairnas. The movie revolves around a couple who escape their urban nightmare to live in rural Ireland, only to discover malevolent, murderous goblins lurking in the ancient wood at the foot of their new garden. The film is directed by Bing Liu (Minding the Gap, ) & Joshua Altman and revolves around two men who created community-based self-help programs in Chicago to offer mentorship and healing to young men likely to be either victims or perpetrators of gun violence. Netflix has confirmed today that Yoko Kanno will be scoring Netflix’s upcoming live action adaptation of the anime series Cowboy Bebop. The show is developed by Andre Nemec (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) & Jeff Pinkner (Alias, Fringe) based on Hajime Yatate’s anime series and stars John Cho, Mustafa Shakir, Daniella Pineda, Alex Hassell and Elena Satine. Walt Disney Records has released the theme song from the upcoming Disney Junior animated series Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends. The track is written, produced and performed by Patrick Stump, lead singer of the rock band Fall Out Boy, who also serves as songwriter and composer for the series. Composer Jed Kurzel (Alien: Covenant, The Babadook, Overlord, The Mustang, Son of a Gun) is reuniting with director Justin Kurzel on the upcoming Australian drama Nitram. The film starring Caleb Landry Jones, Judy Davis, Essie Davis and Anthony LaPaglia and centers on the events leading up to the the 1996 Port Arthur massacre in Tasmania. Shaun Grant (Penguin Bloom, Berlin Syndrome) wrote the screenplay. GoodThing Productions’ Nick Batzias & Virginia Whitwell (2040, The Australian Dream) are producing the project. La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1980 drama Caboblanco directed by J. Lee Thompson and starring Charles Bronson, Dominique Sanda, Jason Robards and Fernando Rey. The album features the remastered original score from the film composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Chinatown, Poltergeist, L.A.
