The Nexus Studios production is directed by Emma de Swaef & Marc Roels, Niki Lindroth von Bahr and Paloma Baeza and features the voices of Mia Goth, Jarvis Cocker, Susan Wokoma, Helena Bonham Carter, Matthew Goode, Claudie Blakley, Sven Wollter, Paul Kaye, Yvonne Lombard, Will Sharpe and Mark Heap. Grief Buffet has released a soundtrack album for the home invasion thriller An Intrusion. The album features the film’s original music composed by Andy Nelson of the punk band Weekend Nachos. Already playing in select theaters since this past Wednesday, December 29, is the drama Jockey co-written and directed by Clint Bentley and starring Clifton Collins Jr., Molly Parker, Moises Arias, Logan Cormier, Colleen Hartnett. The film’s original music is composed by The National’s Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, The Kitchen) & Aaron Dessner (Cyrano, C’mon C’mon). No soundtrack album has been announced yet. Check out our scoring assignment announcement to learn more about the movie, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is being distributed by Sony Pictures Classics.
Opening at New York’s Paris Theatre today before coming out in more theaters in early January and before premiering on Netflix on January 21, is the spy thriller Munich: The Edge of War directed by Christian Schwochow and starring George MacKay, Jeremy Irons, Jannis Niehwöhner, Sandra Hüller, August Diehl, Liv Lisa Fries, Erin Doherty and Martin Wuttke. Isobel Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Emma, Vanity Fair, Vita & Virginia, The Split, The ABC Murders) has composed the film’s original music. No word yet on a soundtrack release. Composer George Fenton (Dangerous Liaisons, Groundhog Day, The Blue Planet, Anna and the King, Hitch) is reuniting with director Richard Eyre (Notes on a Scandal, Iris) on the upcoming British comedy drama Allelujah. The film is based on the stage play of the same name by Alan Bennett and stars Jennifer Saunders, Judi Dench, Derek Jacobi, Bally Gill, Russell Tovey and David Bradley. The movie is set on a geriatric ward in Yorkshire that is on the verge of closure and and follows the hospital’s attempts to fight back by inviting a news crew to film their preparations for a concert in honor of the place’s most distinguished nurse.
