Sacred Bones Records will release the official soundtrack album for the horror sequel Halloween Kills. The album features the film’s original music composed by John Carpenter, Cody Carpenter & Daniel Davies who previously co-scored Blumhouse’s 2018 Halloween film. The soundtrack will be released on October 15, 2021. Click here to order the digital version. A CD version will be available to for pre-order on Amazon within the next few days and several different vinyl editions are now available to purchase on the label’s official website. A first track (Unkillable) is being released today and can be checked out after the jump. Halloween Kills is co-written and directed by David Gordon Green and stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Thomas Mann and Anthony Michael Hall. The movie follows the Strode women as they join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all. Gene Back (Cowboys, Holler) has been hired to score the upcoming (currently untitled) biographical drama about Francesca Cabrini. The film is directed by Alejandro Monteverde (Little Boy, Sound of Freedom) and stars Christiana Dell’Anna, Montserrat Espadalé, Romana Maggiora Vergano, David Morse, Patch Darragh, John Lithgow, Jeremy Bobb, Andrew Polk, Giampiero Judica and Rolando Villazó. The movie tells the story of one of the greatest entrepreneurs of the 19th Century who started with nothing and created the largest multinational charitable empire the world had ever known. The show’s original music is composed by Jeff Cardoni (Silicon Valley, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, CSI: Miami, The Kominsky Method, Step Up All In). Lionsgate Records will release weekly soundtracks featuring Cardoni’s score and other music from the drama. The first soundtrack featuring music from the first episode has just been released today. Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the adventure comedy Free Guy directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ryan Reynolds, Jodie Comer, Lil Rel Howery, Joe Keery, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Taika Waititi. The film’s original score is composed by Christophe Beck (Frozen, Ant-Man,WandaVision, The Hangover, The Peanuts Movie, Edge of Tomorrow, Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Hollywood Records has released two soundtrack albums featuring the songs from the movie and the composer’s score earlier this week.
