Germaine Franco (Dora and the Lost City of Gold, TagDope Little) has recently been recording her score for the upcoming animated feature Encanto. The film is directed by Byron Howard (TangledBolt) & Jared Bush (Zootopia) and features the voices of Stephanie Beatriz, María Cecilia Botero, Wilmer Valderrama, Adassa, Diane Guerrero, Angie Cepeda, Mauro Castillo, Jessica Darrow, Rhenzy Feliz and Carolina Gaitan. The movie tells the story of the Madrigals family who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a wondrous place called an Encanto and follows an ordinary 15-year-old who’s struggling to find her place in her family. Interscope Records & Universal Studios have released the original song The Anonymous Ones from the film adaptation of the stage musical Dear Evan Hansen. The song performed by Amandla Stenberg who also co-wrote the track with songwriters Benj Pasek & Justin Paul is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. The album features the film’s original music composed by Clinton Shorter (District 9, The Expanse, Contraband, 2 Guns, Pompeii, Boss Level). The film is written and directed by Michael McGowan (Still Mine, Saint Ralph) and stars Alison Pill, Sarah Gadon, Mare Winningham, Amybeth McNulty and Donal Logue. The movie is based on Miriam Toews’ novel of the same title and revolves around two sisters: a writer who’s tormented by self-doubt and is going through a tough divorce and her a well-known concert pianist whose struggle with depression threaten to consume her. The details of the soundtrack album for the fifth episode of Marvel Studios’ Disney+ animated series What If…? have been revealed. The album features the original music from the fifth episode (What If… Zombies!?) of the show composed by Emmy Award winner Laura Karpman (Lovecraft Country, Paris Can Wait, Underground, Set It Up, Step, Why We Hate, Black Nativity). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, September 10 by Marvel Music & Hollywood Records and will be available to stream/download here.
