Music Super Circus has released a soundtrack album for the Swedish limited series The Scarab Flies at Dusk (Tordyveln flyger i skymningen). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Sindre Hotvedt (Trio, The Snow Siser, Orps: The Movie). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. The Scarab Flies at Dusk is written by Ditta Bongenhielm & Lovisa Milles based on the classic novel of the same title by Maria Gripe and stars Hjalmar Löfmark Yilmaz, Moa Nåsander, Einar Alvarado Lönberg, Tomas von Brömsse, Pernilla August, Dag Malmberg and Lena Endre. The 8-part family adventure directed by Atle Knudsen is set in a small Swedish town during the summer of 1976 and follows three children who are drawn into a mystery involving a cursed Egyptian statue, which has been hidden for centuries. Composer Grégoire Hetzel (Incendies, Summertime, The Midwife, The Innocent) is reuniting with director Arnaud Desplechin (Esther Khan, Jimmy P.) on the upcoming French romantic drama Two Pianos (Deux Pianos). The film starring François Civil, Nadia Tereszkiewicz, Charlotte Rampling & Hippolyte Girardot follows a pianist who returns to France after a long exile and reunites with his mentor to prepare a concert, when he encounters a child who looks just like him. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the comedy Honey Don’t! co-written and directed by Ethan Coen and starring Margaret Qualley, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Evans, Charlie Day and Billy Eichner. The film’s original score is composed by Carter Burwell (Carol, Fargo, The Banshees of Inisherin, True Grit, The Blind Side, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Twilight, Anomalisa). Shadow of the City has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, original songs written by Jack Antonoff & Coen and other songs from the movie today. Also opening wide is the thriller Relay directed by David Mackenzie and starring Riz Ahmed, Lily James, Sam Worthington and Willa Fitzgerald. The second soundtrack album for the noir thriller Hollywood Grit has been released. The album features the film’s original score composed by Nick Gomez.
