Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for Jordan Peele’s horror epic Nope. The album features the film’s original music composed by Michael Abels (Bad Education, Allen v. Farrow, Fake Famous, Nightbooks, Breaking, See You Yesterday) who previously scored Peele’s first two features, Get Out and Us. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 22 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. A vinyl edition will be released by Waxwork Records. Nope is written and directed by Peele and stars Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, Steven Yeun, Michael Wincott and Brandon Perea. Constructive has announced a soundtrack album for the British thriller Surge. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tujiko Noriko (Kuro) and sound design by Paul Davies. Matthew Margeson (Kingsman series, Rocketman, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Pam & Tommy, Eddie the Eagle) has been hired to score Lucasfilm’s upcoming animated series Young Jedi Adventures. The show, which marks the first animated Star Wars series created for preschoolers, will follow a group of Younglings as they are swept off into adventures, and start their journeys on the path to becoming Jedi Knights, learning valuable skills for our galaxy and the galaxy far, far away.
