The drama is directed by Malcolm Washington and stars Samuel L. Jackson, John David Washington, Danielle Deadwyler, Ray Fisher, Michael Potts, Erykah Badu and Corey Hawkins. The movie based on the play of the same title by August Wilson is set in 1936 Pittsburgh during the aftermath of the Great Depression and follows the lives of the Charles family in the Doaker Charles household and an heirloom, the family piano, which documents the family history through carvings made by their enslaved ancestor. Plaza Mayor Company will release a soundtrack album for the crime thriller Kiss of the Con Queen. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ollie Howell (Rise of the Footsoldier 4: Marbella, Breaking Point, Forced Out). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 9 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The film’s original score is composed by Heitor Pereira (Minions, Minions: The Rise of Gru, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, The Smurfs, Smallfoot, Paw Patrol: The Movie). Pharrell Williams is credited for providing the original songs and themes.
