Strings Attached Music will release a soundtrack album for the thriller Protocol 7. The album features the film’s original music composed by Will Taylor. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, May 31 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Harris and follows the playwright as he deconstructs his Tony-nominated play Slave Play, which revolves around three interracial couples who undergo “Antebellum Sexual Performance Therapy” when the black partners no longer feel sexual attraction to their white partners.

Intrada Records has announced a reissue of the soundtrack album for David Lynch’s 1999 drama The Straight Story starring Richard Farnsworth, Sissy Spacek and Harry Dean Stanton. The album features the film’s original music composed by Angelo Badalamenti (Twin Peaks, Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, The Beach, Wild at Heart, The City of Lost Children, A Very Long Engagement). The CD, which includes the same content as the (now out of print) original 1999 soundtrack album (released by Windham Hill Records) with new liner notes and cover art, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release.
