The movie is directed by Neill Blomkamp (District 9, Elysium) and stars David Harbour, Archie Madekwe, Orlando Bloom, Djimon Hounsou, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Josha Stradowski, Daniel Puig, Thomas Kretschmann, Emelia Hartford, Maeve Courtier-Lilley, Pepe Barroso, and Sang Heon Lee. Murray Gold to Return as Composer for BBC’s ‘Doctor Who’

BBC announced today that Murray Gold (Torchwood, Gentleman Jack, It’s a Sin, Quiz, A Very English Scandal) is returning to score the BBC series Doctor Who. The composer who previously scored all episodes between 2005 and 2017 will be collaborating with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales to compose the music for three special episodes celebrating the shows 60th anniversary with David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor (to premiere this November), before Ncuti Gatwa takes control of the TARDIS as the Fifteenth Doctor with his first episode airing over the 2023/2024 holiday season. Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album for the Latin American Disney+ original series Journey to the Center of the Earth (Viaje al centro de la tierra). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Gaby Goldman. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Journey to the Center of the Earth is directed by directed by JM Craviotto and stars Sebastián García, Óscar Jaenada, Margarita Rosa de Francisco and Mauricio “El Diablito” Barrientos. The sci-fi adventure is inspired by Jules Verne’s classic novel of the same name and follows a group of kids on a voyage through a parallel dimension in which they discover a fascinating world and fight to protect the ecological balance of the planet. Composer George Fenton (Dangerous Liaisons, Groundhog Day, The Blue Planet, Anna and the King, Hitch) is reuniting with director Ken Loach on the upcoming drama The Old Oak. The film starring Dave Turner, Ebla Mari and Debbie Honeywood centers on the owner of a pub threatened with closure after the arrival of Syrian refugees, when he meets and strikes an unexpected friendship with a Syrian woman. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the French TV series The Brigade (B.R.I.). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Séverin Favriau (Brothers by Blood, Kanun, A Bluebird in My Heart). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download overseas on all major digital music services, including Apple Music/iTunes, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. No word yet on a domestic release date. The Brigade is co-written and directed by Jérémie Guez and stars Sofian Khammes, Ophélie Bau, Rabah Nait Oufella, Théo Christine, Waël Sersoub, Nina Meurisse, Bruno Todeschini, Sami Outalbali, Vincent Elbaz and Emmanuelle Devos. The album features the film’s original score composed by Angus MacRae (Fighting for a City, Gypsy’s Revenge).
