Sony Classical has announced The World of Hans Zimmer – Part II: A New Dimension. The sequel to 2019’s The World of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration features seventeen more of the Academy Award-winning composer’s most successful soundtracks transformed into new orchestral suites. Highlights include a a new romantic suite from The Prince of Egypt, a “cello-concerto-like” version of Final Ascent from No Time to Die, a newly crafted suite of The Rock, and a tranquil rendition of A Time of Quiet Between the Storms from Dune Part Two. Among the featured soloists and collaborators are singers Lebo M, Lisa Gerrard, Nokukhanya Dlamini, Gan-ya Ben-gur Akselrod, musicians Pedro Eustache, Juan García-Herreros, Alexios Anest, Mariko Muranaka, Eliane Correa,Rusanda Panfili, Luis Ribeiro, Aleksandra Šuklar & Lucy Landymore who perform alongside the Odessa Orchestra & Friends & the Nairobi Chamber Choir, under the baton of conductor Gavin Greenaway. The album will be released digitally and physically (as a 2-CD set and a limited edition 3 x 180g vinyl) on January 31 and is now available for pre-order in all formats on Amazon.
