Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1965 British spy thriller The Ipcress File directed by Sidney J. Furie and starring Michael Caine, Nigel Green, Guy Doleman and Sue Lloyd. The album features the original music written for the film composed by Academy Award winner John Barry (Dances with WolvesOut of Africa, Somewhere in Time, GoldfingerBody HeatThe Man with the Golden Gun), newly recorded with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Adam Klemens and produced and orchestrated by Leigh Phillips. Also included as bonus tracks are the composer’s themes from the TV series Vendetta and The Persuaders!.
