Craft Recordings will release a new soundtrack album for the 1965 movie musical classic The Sound of Music directed by Robert Wise and starring Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer, Peggy Wood, Richard Haydn, Charmian Carr and Eleanor Parker. The album features expanded, remastered and remixed music from the film, including both the Rodgers/Hammerstein songs, as well as the movie’s score by Irwin Kostal. The soundtrack, which includes 40 previously unreleased tracks, will be released digitally and physically (as a 4-CD/1-Blu-Ray audio box set, which features the full score in hi-res audio as well as a new Dolby Atmos mix of the original 16-track soundtrack) on December 1, 2023. Milan Records/Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the British/French drama The Great Escaper.
