The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Atli Örvarsson (Silo, Vantage Point, Defending Jacob, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, The Edge of Seventeen, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, The Eagle, Rams). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 10 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Platoon has released a soundtrack album for the Finnish TV series Queen of F*cking Everything. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Lauri Porra (Stormskerry Maja, Heavy Trip). Queen of F*cking Everything is written and directed by Tiina Lymi and stars Laura Malmivaara, Katja Küttner, Minna Haapkylä, Janne Reinikainen, Kristo Salminen and Miro Lopperi. Dragon’s Domain Records has announced a new soundtrack album featuring two previously unreleased scores composed by Academy Award nominee Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Tombstone, Rescuers Down Under, Young Sherlock Holmes, The Miracle on 42nd Street, Homeward Bound, Lost in Space). The album includes the composer’s score for the 1982 CBS movie One Shoe Makes It Murder directed by William Hale and starring Robert Mitchum & Angie Dickinson, as well as his music for the 1981 television movie Killjoy directed by John Llewellyn Moxey and starring Kim Basinger, Robert Culp, Stephen Macht, John Rubenstein & Nancy Marchand. The Bruce Broughton Collection – Volume 1 is now available to order as a limited CD edition on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio clips and find out more about the soundtrack. Television Academy Announces Rule Change in ‘Main Title Theme’ Category

The Television Academy has announced a number of rules changes for the 78th & 79th Emmy Awards competition in 2025 & 2026, including an update in the Music – Main Title Theme category for 2026. The new rules state that a “Main Title Theme must appear in 50% or more of eligible episodes submitted for the 2026 Emmy competition. The Main Title Theme has been further defined as a musical fingerprint and calling card that is identifiable and unique to a show, thereby drawing an audience in by setting the show’s tone and what is to come.” Read the rest of this entry »

Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1979 television movie Gold of the Amazon Women directed by Mark L. Lester and starring Bo Svenson, Anita Ekberg, Donald Pleasence, Bob Minor and Richard Romanus. The album features the film’s original music composed by Golden Globe nominee Gil Mellé (The Andromeda Strain, Borderline, The Sentinel, Night Gallery, The Organization). Lee Mendelson Film Productions will release the first-ever soundtrack album for the 1974 animated television special It’s the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown! created by Charles M. Schulz and directed by Phil Roman. The album features the premiere release of complete score from the twelfth Peanuts special composed by Vince Guaraldi (A Charlie Brown Christmas, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, A Boy Named Charlie Brown). Also included as a bonus track is Woodstock’s Medley performed byDavid Benoit (piano) with original Guaraldi sidemen Seward McCain (bass) and Mike Clark (drums), recorded fifty years later at the same Hyde Street studio where the soundtrack was recorded in San Francisco.
