Premiering on Thursday, April 4 is the new NBC drama Hannibal based on the characters from Thomas Harris’ classic novels and developed by Bryan Fuller. The show’s cast includes Hugh Dancy as Will Graham and Mads Mikkelsen as Hannibal Lecter, as well as Laurence Fishburne, Caroline Dhavernas, Eddie Izzard, Gina Torres, Molly Shannon, Gillian Anderson, Ellen Greene and Chelan Simmons. Christophe Beck is scoring the upcoming comedy sequel The Hangover Part III. The film is directed by Todd Phillips and stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Ken Jeong, Heather Graham, Jeffrey Tambor, Justin Bartha, John Goodman, Sasha Barrese, Gillian Vigman and Jamie Chung. Phillips has also written the script with Craig Mazin (Identity Thief) and is producing the third and final part in the Hangover trilogy with Dan Goldberg. Beck has previously collaborated with Phillips on the first two The Hangover movies, as well as on the features School for Scoundrels and Due Date. ‘Iron Man 3’ Soundtrack Details

Hollywood Records will release the original motion picture soundtrack for Marvel’s Iron Man 3. The album features the film’s original score composed and conducted by Brian Tyler (Eagle Eye, Fast Five, The Expendables). The soundtrack will be released on April 30, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out the full track list after the jump. As previously reported, the label will also release a soundtrack featuring songs from and inspired by the film on the same day. ‘Music of Nashville’ Season 1 – Volume 2 Soundtrack Announced

Big Machine Records will release a second soundtrack album for the ABC drama Nashville. The album features the songs from the second part of the first season performed by the film’s cast including Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Sam Palladio, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Lennon Stella and Maisy Stella. Three new movies are opening wide this weekend:
Already in theaters since yesterday is the action sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation directed by Jon M. Chu and starring Dwayne Johnson, D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Ray Park, Adrianne Palicki, Jonathan Pryce, RZA, Ray Stevenson, Channing Tatum and Bruce Willis. The film’s score is composed by Henry Jackman (X-Men: First Class, Wreck-It-Ralph). Varese Sarabande Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music digitally. Also opening wide is the sci-fi romance The Host directed by Andrew Niccol, based on the novel by Stephenie Meyer and starring Saoirse Ronan, Jake Abel, Max Irons, William Hurt, Diane Kruger, Chandler Canterbury and Frances Fisher. Antonio Pinto (City of God, Snitch) has composed the film’s original score. Interscope Records has released a soundtrack album featuring songs from and inspired by the film by artists including Imagine Dragons, Hudson Taylor, Skylar Grey, Ellie Goulding, Hudson Taylor, Duologue and Jamie N Commons, as well as one track from Pinto’s music. John Debney to Score ‘Broken Horses’

John Debney has signed on to score the upcoming thriller Broken Horses. The film is directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and stars Anton Yelchin, Chris Marquette, Vincent D’Onofrio, Thomas Jane, Sean Patrick Flanery and Maria Valverde. The movie is set in the shadows of the US-Mexico border gang wars and has been described as a thriller about the bonds of brotherhood, the laws of loyalty, and the futility of violence. The film marks the first English-language film of Chopra who has previously helmed the box office hit 3 Idiots. The Indian director has co-written the screenplay with Abhijat Joshi (Eklavya – The Royal Guard) and is also producing Broken Horses with Subhash Dhar and David Hoberman & Todd Lieberman for Mandeville Films. John Paesano has been hired to score the pilot for NBC’s untitled Rand Ravich Project. The conspiracy thriller created by Ravich (writer/director of The Astronaut’s Wife, creator of Life) stars Dermot Mulroney, Gillian Anderson, Rachael Taylor, Lance Gross, Halston Sage, Max Martini and Joshua Erenberg. The show follows an unlikely puppeteer who will bring everyone from CEOs to the president of the United States to their knees by threatening the things they hold most dear. Phillip Noyce (Salt, Clear and Present Danger, Patriot Games) is directing the pilot episode. Ravich has written the script for the pilot and is executive producing the project with Far Shariat (Life). NBC is expected to announce in May if the pilot will be picked up to series. Marvel Music and Hollywood Records have announced the details of a compilation soundtrack album for Marvel Studios’ superhero film sequel Iron Man 3. The album includes AWOLNATION’s Some Kind of Joke which is featured in the film, as well as other songs from and inspired by the movie by artists including Imagine Dragons, Passion Pit, Rogue Wave, Neon Trees, Capital Cities, Andrew Stockdale. Also featured are songs exclusively recorded for the album by Redlight King, WALK THE MOON and Mr Little Jeans. The soundtrack will be released on April 30, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A separate soundtrack featuring the film’s original score by Brian Tyler is now also available for pre-order here (the full album details will be announced soon).
