‘Hobal’ Soundtrack Released

Suad Bushnaq (Crashing EidSalma’s Home, Basma, Montreal Girls, From the AshesQueen Tut) has released a soundtrack album for the Saudi drama Hobal. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Hobal is directed by Abdulaziz Alshlahei and stars Ibrahim Al-Hasawi, Mishal Almutairi, Hamdy Alfridi, Hamad Farhan, Mila Al Zahrani and Amal Sami. The movie centers a Bedouin family whose members are forced to live in isolation in the desert due to fear of an infectious disease during the 1990s when Saudi was starting to open up to the outside world. The film is written and directed by Max Walker-Silverman (A Love Song) and stars Josh O’Connor, Lily LaTorre, Kali Reis, Meghann Fahy and Amy Madigan. The movie revolves around a rancher who seeks a way forward after a wildfire takes his family farm.
