David Fleming (The Last of Us, Jim Henson: Idea Man, Damsel, The Unforgivable, Hillbilly Elegy, Blue Planet IIThe Night Logan Woke UpThe Perfect Guy) is scoring the upcoming documentary series Bucks County, USA. The show is directed by Barry Levinson (Rain Man, Good Morning, Vietnam) & Robert May (Kids for Cash) and focuses on two 14-year-olds living in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, who are best friends despite their opposing political beliefs. The 5-parter follows the girls and others in their community as they fight to discover the humanity in “the other side” when nationwide disputes over public education explode into  division in their hometown. Levinson & May are also executive producing the project with Jason Sosnoff (The Survivor, The Humbling), Mark Axelowitz, Nick Dunn, Sarah Cross, David Smick, Jonathan E. Lim, Robin Jonas and Steven P. Wegner. Fleming has previously collaborated with Levinson on the director’s latest feature, The Alto Knights, which will be released in theaters nationwide on March 21. The first two episodes of Bucks County, USA will premiere next week at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.

Also coming up for Fleming is the second season of HBO’s The Last of Us, which will premiere this April.
