The show is created by Mara Brock Akil (Black Lightning, Being Mary Jane) based on Judy Blume’s groundbreaking 1975 novel and stars Lovie Simone, Michael Cooper Jr., Karen Pittman, Xosha Roquemore, Wood Harris, Marvin Winans III, Niles Fitch, Ali Gallo, Adriyan Rae, Barry Shabaka Henley, Paigion Walker, Xavier Mills and E’myri Crutchfield. OONA has released a soundtrack album for the Danish psychological period horror feature The Girl with the Needle (Pigen med nålen). The album features the film’s original music composed by Frederikke Hoffmeier (aka Puce Mary) (Wildland). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, March 7 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A vinyl edition will be coming out later this year.The Girl with the Needle is co-written and directed by Magnus von Horn and stars Vic Carmen Sonne and Trine Dyrholm. The movie, which was one of the five nominated titles in the International Feature category at this year’s Academy Awards, revolves around a newly unemployed and pregnant young woman struggling to survive in post-WWI Copenhagen who is taken in by a charismatic elder to help run an underground adoption agency. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the Columbian Netflix original series Medusa. The album features the show’s title song performed by Olga Lucía Vives, as well as two songs from by Calina (feat. A.rigato & Runa). Also included are four tracks from the series’ original score composed by Santiago Uribe (Eva Lasting, Always a Witch, Savage Rhythm) feat. Juan Felipe Uribe & Runa. Walt Disney Records has released the first track from the soundtrack for Disney’s live-action reimagining of the animated classic Snow White.
