Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the comedy Bad Moms. The album features the songs from the film by artists including Janelle Monáe, Demi Lovato, Foreigner, Icona Pop feat. Charli XCX, WALK THE MOON, DNCE, Sophie Beem, Memoir and Garrett Kato. Also included are three suites of the movie’s original score composed by Christopher Lennertz (Horrible Bosses, Ride Along, Identity Thief, Agent Carter) who collaborated with singer-songwriter KT Tunstall to help bring a contemporary alt rock sound to the music. The soundtrack will be released digitally next week. A physical version is set to be released in August and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Laura Karpman has recently composed the music for the upcoming romantic comedy Paris Can Wait. The film is written and directed by Eleanor Coppola and stars Diane Lane, Arnaud Viar and Alec Baldwin. The movie follows a Hollywood producer’s wife who reluctantly takes a trip through France which reawakens her senses and lust for life. Fred Roos (St. Vincent, The Outsiders, Rumble Fish, The Black Stallion) is producing the American Zoetrope, Lifetime Films and A+E Studios production with Coppola and Michael Zakin (Life After Beth). Stephen Schwartz to Write Original Songs for ‘Wicked’ Movie Adaptation

Stephen Schwartz revealed today at the Comic-Con panel CW3PR’s 8th Annual Behind-the-Music: Crime, Death and Resurrection that the upcoming film adaptation of the stage musical Wicked will feature new original songs. Currently, there are plans for four new songs to be in the movie in addition to tunes from the stage version. Stephen Daldry (The Hours, The Reader, Billy Elliott, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close) will direct the film and Winnie Holzman is writing the screenplay. ‘Max & Me’ Soundtrack Details

Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the animated feature Max & Me. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mark McKenzie (The Greatest Miracle, Blizzard, Frank and Jesse, Warlock: The Armageddon) who recorded his orchestral score at Abbey Road Studios in London. Violinist Joshua Bell is featured as a soloist on the score. The soundtrack is set to be released overseas on October 7, 2016. No word yet on a domestic release date. The movie tells the true story of Madalyn Murray O’Hair, an American atheist activist who convinced the Supreme Court to overturn prayer in public schools and was later kidnapped and murdered by a former member of her organization along with her son and granddaughter. The film is directed by Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2, Never Back Down, Cry_Wolf) and stars Kevin James, Zulay Henao, Andy Garcia, Maurice Compte, Kelen Coleman, Andrew Howard, Rob Riggle, Leonard Earl Howze, Yul Vazquez and Kim Coates. The action comedy follows a mild-mannered would-be author who gets mistaken for a killer-for-hire when his fictional novel about an international assassin is published as a true story. Word Entertainment will release a soundtrack album for Timur Bekmambetov’s epic historical drama Ben-Hur. The album features a new song by Andra Day, as well as tracks by Big Daddy Weave, for KING & COUNTRY, Sidewalk Prophets, Jordan Smith, We Are Messengers, Family Force 5 & more. Ben-Hur: Songs Inspired by the Epic Film will be released on August 19, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
