Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1980 CBS movie Gauguin the Savage directed by Fielder Cook, written by J.P. Miller and starring David Carradine, Lynn Redgrave, Flora Robson, Ian Richardson and Michael Hordern. The album features the film’s original score composed by by Emmy Award winner Gerald Fried (Star Trek: The Original Series, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Roots, Mission: Impossible, Gilligan’s Island). Also included is Fried’s music from the 1967 CBS documentary Gauguin in Tahiti: The Search for Paradise directed by Martin Carr and narrated by Charles Kuralt. Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the FX original series The Beauty. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Emmy Award winner Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, American Horror Story, Leave the World Behind, Monster: The Ed Gein Story, Feud: Bette and Joan, American Crime Story, His & Hers, Gaslit, Pose). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, March 13 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Netflix Music will release a new soundtrack album for the streamer’s original series Virgin River. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s seventh season composed by Jeff Garber (Nancy Drew, Memory of a Killer, No Sleep ‘Til Christmas, Full Swing, The Company You Keep). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 12 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon.
