The film is directed by Pernille Fischer Christensen (A Soap, A Family) and stars Alba August in the title role, alongside Maria Bonnevie, Magnus Krepper, Trine Dyrholm, Henrik Rafaelsen and Björn Gustafsson. The movie focuses on an event that occurred when Swedish writer Astrid Lindgren was very young and that came to shape her adult life, writing talent and aspirations. Lakeshore Records has announced a special edition soundtrack for Todd Haynes’ drama Wonderstruck. The album features the film’s original music composed by Carter Burwell (Fargo, Carol, Being John Malkovich, Twilight, In Bruges, True Grit), including three additional bonus tracks not included on the regular release. The soundtrack will be released digitally exclusively on Amazon on October 20 and is now available for pre-order here.
