The only movie opening nationwide this weekend is the sci-fi action sequel Transformers: The Last Knight directed by Michael Bay and starring Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, Laura Haddock, Jerrod Carmichael, Isabela Moner, Peter Cullen and Anthony Hopkins. The film’s original music is composed by Steve Jablonsky (The Island, Deepwater Horizon, Ender’s Game, Desperate Housewives) who scored all previous four movies in the series. The full details of the soundtrack album for Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk have been announced. The album features the film’s original music composed by Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar, Gladiator, The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean). Walt Disney Records has released the main titles theme song of the reboot of the animated series DuckTales. The song is a cover of the title track from Disney’s classic series written by Mark C. Mueller. Varese Sarabande will release a soundtrack album for the Amazon original series Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s two seasons composed by Sasha Gordon (It Had to Be You, I Believe in Unicorns, God in Love). Trevor Morris is composing the music for the upcoming Netflix original series Castlevania. The animated show based on the Konami video games is developed by comic book writer Warren Ellis (Red) and features the voices of Richard Armitage, James Callis and Graham McTavish. The series follows a vampire hunter fights to save a besieged city from an army of otherworldly beasts controlled by Dracula himself. Ellis is also executive producing the project with Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar. 
This coming Thursday, June 29, the Television Academy will be hosting a concert celebrating music written for television. Words + Music will feature the live performance of original songs and scores from the composers of top shows from the past TV season. Participating composers include Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot), Siddhartha Khosla (This Is Us), Jeff Russo (Fargo, The Night Of), Sean Callery (Homeland), Nathan Barr (The Americans) and Pedro Bromfman (Narcos).

Heitor Pereira has been tapped to score the upcoming currently untitled animated Playmobil Movie. The film marks the directorial debut of Lino DiSalvo who served as head of animation on Disney’ Frozen and as animation supervisor on Tangled and Bolt. The movie is inspired by the Playmobil brand toys, which are produced by the Brandstätter Group in Germany. No plot details have been announced yet. Aton Soumache, Dimitri Rassam & Alexis Vonarb (The Little Prince, Upside Down) are producing the project with Axel Von Maydell and Moritz Borman (Terminator Salvation, World Trade Center, Snowden).
