Three new movies are opening nationwide this week:

Already in theaters since Thursday is the movie adaptation of Ready Player One directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tye Sheridan, Ben Mendelsohn, T.J. Miller, Simon Pegg, Mark Rylance and Olivia Cooke. The film’s original music is composed  by Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, The Avengers). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack featuring the composer’s score today (click here for the album details). The label has also released a separate soundtrack featuring a selection of songs from the movie (click here for more information).

Also opening nationwide is the thriller Acrimony written and directed by Tyler Perry and starring Taraji P. Henson, Lyriq Bent, Ajiona Alexus and Antonio Madison. Christopher Lennertz (Ride Along, Horrible Bosses, Baywatch, Lost in Space, Supernatural) has composed the film’s original music. No word yet on a release of the score. Warner Bros. ‘7 Days in Entebbe’ Soundtrack Announced

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the dramatic thriller 7 Days in Entebbe. The album features the film’s original music composed by Brazilian singer/songwriter Rodrigo Amarante who is known for his theme song from the Netflix series Narcos and has made his film scoring debut on the project. Also included is The Tractor’s Revenge & Ohad Naharin’s rendition of Chair Dance (Echad mi Yodeah). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 6, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD version is also in the works. 7 Days in Entebbe is directed by José Padilha and stars Rosamund Pike, Daniel Brühl, Eddie Marsan, Ben Schnetzer, Lior Ashkenazi and Denis Ménochet. Michael Andrews Scoring ‘I Feel Pretty’

Michael Andrews has composed the score for the upcoming comedy I Feel Pretty. The film marks the feature directorial debut of screenwriters Abby Kohn & Marc Silverstein (Never Been Kissed, The Vow, He’s Just Not That Into You) and stars Amy Schumer, Michelle Williams, Rory Scovel, Emily Ratajkowski, Aidy Bryant, Busy Phillips, Tom Hopper, Naomi Campbell and Lauren Hutton. The movie revolves around an ordinary woman struggling with feelings of insecurity and inadequacy on a daily basis who wakes from a fall believing she is suddenly the most beautiful and capable woman on the planet. ‘The Last Movie Star’ Soundtrack Released

Legacy Recordings has released a soundtrack album for the drama The Last Movie Star. The album features the original songs from and inspired by the movie written and performed by John Martin & Jamie Floyd (aka Stranger Friends). Also included is the original end title song To Get Here written by Academy Award nominee Diane Warren and performed by Willie Nelson. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Last Movie Star is written and directed by Adam Rifkin and stars Burt Reynolds, Ariel Winter, Ellar Coltrane, Clark Duke and Chevy Chase. ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Season 1 – Chapter 2 Soundtrack Details

The full details of the second soundtrack album for the CBS All Access original series Star Trek: Discovery. The album features selections of the original music from Chapter 2 (episodes 10-15) from the show’s first season composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Russo (Fargo, Legion, The Night Of, Snowfall, Counterpart, Power). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 6, 2018 by Lakeshore Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD version is set to come out in May and can be ordered here. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring the composer’s music from Chapter 1 (episodes 1-9). A vinyl release featuring selections from both chapters is also in the works. WaterTower Music has released composer Ramin Djawadi‘s cover version of the Nirvana song Heart-Shaped Box from the latest trailer for the second season of HBO’s Westworld. Ludwig Goransson (Black Panther, Creed, Community, Fruitvale Station) has signed on to score the upcoming superhero movie Venom. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Gangster Squad) and stars Tom Hardy in the title role, alongside Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze and Reid Scott. The album features the film’s original music composed by Keegan DeWitt (I’ll See You in My Dreams, The Hero, Divorce, Morris from America, Queen of Earth). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 30 and will be available to download on Amazon. Gemini is written and directed by Aaron Katz and stars Lola Kirke, Zoe Kravitz and John Cho. Henry Jackman is currently scoring the upcoming sci-fi action horror thriller The Predator. The film is directed by Shane Black (Iron Man 3, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Nice Guys) and stars Boyd Holbrook, Olivia Munn, Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, Sterling K. Brown, Jacob Tremblay, Yvonne Strahovski, Alfie Allen and Thomas Jane.
