Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British mini-series Little Women written by Heidi Thomas based on Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel, directed by Vanessa Caswill and starring Maya Hawke, Kathryn Newton, Annes Elwy, Willa Fitzgerald, Emily Watson, Dylan Baker, Angela Lansbury, Michael Gambon and Jonah Hauer-King. The 3-parter’s original score is composed by Stuart Earl (Lilting, My Brother the Devil, And Then There Were None). The drama premiered in the UK last year on BBC One and makes its domestic debut as part of PBS’ Masterpiece series. Click here for more information.

Also premiering tonight is the Lifetime original movie Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance directed by Menhaj Huda and starring Murray Fraser & Parisa Fitz-Henley in the title roles, as well as Bonnie Soper as Princess Diana, Steve Coulter as Prince Charles, Maggie Sullivun as Queen Elizabeth II and Deborah Ramsay as Camilla Bowles. Soundtrack Albums for Michael Winterbottom’s ‘The Killer Inside Me’ & ‘Genova’ Released

Universal Music has released the first soundtrack release for the 2010 thriller The Killer Inside Me directed by Michael Winterbottom based on the novel by Jim Thompson and starring Kate Hudson, Casey Affleck and Jessica Alba. The album features the film’s original score composed by Melissa Parmenter & Joel Cadbury (Comes a Bright Day). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has also released Parmenter’s score for the 2008 feature Genova (aka A Summer in Genoa) co-written and directed by Winterbottom and starring Colin Firth, Catherine Keener and Hope Davis. ‘The Miracle Season’ Soundtrack to Be Released

Meliam Music will release a soundtrack album for the sports drama The Miracle Season. The album features the film’s original music composed by Roque Banos (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead, In the Heart of the Sea, The Machinist, Risen). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 15, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Miracle Season is directed by Sean McNamara and stars Helen Hunt, William Hurt, Danika Yarosh and Erin Moriarty. The movie is based on a true story and follows the West High School girls’ volleyball team as they band together after the loss of the school’s star player in hope of winning the state championship. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the comedy Life of the Party directed by Ben Falcone and starring Melissa McCarthy, Gillian Jacobs, Maya Rudolph, Julie Bowen, Matt Walsh, Molly Gordon, Stephen Root and Jacki Weaver. The film’s original score is composed by Fil Eisler (Empire, Revenge, How to Be Single, CHiPs). Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, as well as songs by Meghan Trainor, Blind Scuba Divers, Chick Norris, Cyndi Lauper & more. Also opening wide is the thriller Breaking In directed by James McTeigue and starring Gabrielle Union, Billy Burke, Richard Cabral, Seth Karr, Ajiona Alexus, Levi Meaden, Jason George and Christa Miller. Johnny Klimek (Cloud Atlas, Run Lola Run, One Hour Photo, Sense8, The International) has composed the film’s original score. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the music by Klimek and additional music composer Gabriel Mounsey and a song by James Earl Jones II. James Edward Barker has signed on to score the upcoming gothic mystery thriller Gwen. The film is written and directed by William McGregor and stars Maxine Peake, Eleanor Worthington-Cox, Jodie Innes, Richard Harrington, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith and Mark Lewis Jones. Ryuichi Sakamoto to Compose Theme for Yoshihiro Hanno’s ‘Paradise Next’

Variety is reporting that Ryuichi Sakamoto (The Revenant, The Last Emperor, The Sheltering Sky, Snake Eyes) will be composing the theme for the upcoming drama Paradise Next. The film is directed by Japanese composer Yoshihiro Hanno (Mountains May Depart, Dragonfly Eyes) who previously helmed the 2015 feature A Woman Wavering in the Rain) and is set to star Satoshi Tsumbuki and Etsushi Toyokawa. A soundtrack EP has been released for Asghar Farhadi’s drama Everybody Knows (Todos lo saben). The EP features the songs from the film by Grammy Award-winning music producer and singer/songwriter Javier Limón. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Everybody Knows is written and directed by Farhadi (The Salesman, A Separation, The Past) and stars Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Ricardo Darín. The movie centers on a woman and her children who travel from Buenos Aires to the village where she was born, on a Spanish vineyard, to attend her sister’s wedding, but unexpected events lead this gathering towards a crisis which exposes the hidden past of the family. Christopher Lennertz is reteaming with director Tim Story on the upcoming Shaft sequel. The film stars Samuel L. Jackson & Jessie T. Usher as father and son, as well as Richard Roundtree, Alexandra Shipp, Regina Hall, Avan Jogia and Method Man. The movie centers on the young and old Shafts as they are are forced to team up. Jackson is reprising his role from John Singleton’s 2000 Shaft movie, which was scored by David Arnold and featured Isaac Hayes’ classic theme from the 1971 original film. The track is written by Carole Bayer Sager, Walter Afanasieff & Jay Landers and is performed by Katharine McPhee. The song is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. Book Club is directed by Bill Holderman and stars Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, Mary Steenburgen, Craig T. Nelson, Andy Garcia and Don Johnson. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Ruth Barrett (Harry Brown, Victoria, Hunted, Love, Nina). Clarkson and stars Carey Mulligan, John Simm, Nicola Walker and Billie Piper.
