Constellation Music has released a soundtrack EP for the documentary short Nǎi Nai & Wài Pó. The 5-track EP features the film’s original score composed by Giosuè Greco (Welcome to Wrexham, Let the Right One In, Didi, Not Going Quietly). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the composer’s title track after the jump. Nǎi Nai & Wài Pó is directed by Sean Wang and centers on the first-generation Taiwanese American filmmaker’s grandmas who are inseparable best friends and roommates in their 80s and 90s. The short premiered at last year’s SXSW Film Festival, where it received the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award, and has recently been nominated for an Academy Award in the Documentary Short category. Pulitzer Prize- & Grammy Award winning composer Caroline Shaw (Fleishman Is in Trouble, The Sky Is Everywhere, Madeline Madeline) has recorded original music for the upcoming documentary Leonardo da Vinci. The 2-part, four hour film is directed by Ken Burns (Brooklyn Bridge, The Statue of Liberty, The Vietnam War), Sarah Burns (Muhammad Ali) & David McMahon (The Central Park Five) and explores the life and work of the titular 15th century polymath. Shaw’s score is performed by Attacca Quartet, Sō Percussion and Roomful of Teeth. Italian actor Adriano Giannini is voicing Leonardo and Keith David serves as the narrator of the movie, which brings da Vinci’s achievements to life through his personal notebooks, primary and secondary accounts of his life, and on-camera interviews with modern scholars, engineers, artists, inventors, and admirers. Octopus Records has released a soundtrack album for the Italian coming-of-age drama Finally Dawn (Finalmente l’alba). The film is directed by Abderrahmane Sissako (Timbuktu) and stars Nina Mélo, Chang Han, Wu Ke-Xi and Michael Chang. The movie follows a young Ivorian woman in her early thirties who – after saying “no” on her wedding day – emigrates to China, when she works in a tea export shop and falls in love with a 45-year-old Chinese man. Premiering tonight is the CBS drama Tracker developed by Ben Winters based on Jeffery Deaver’s bestselling novel The Never Game and starring Justin Hartley, Fiona Rene, Abby McEnany, Robin Weigert and Eric Graise. The show’s original music is composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2Watchmen, John Wick, 300, X, Primal, Killer Joe, The Punisher). The show is created for television by John Whittington (The Lego Batman Movie, DC League of Super-Pets) & Toby Ascher (Spenser Confidential) based on characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog features and video game series and stars Idris Elba (as the voice of the title character), Adam Pally (as Wade Whipple), Stockard Channing, Edi Patterson, Scott Mescudi, Julian Barratt, Ellie Taylor, Cary Elwes, Rory McCann, Christopher Lloyd, Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel. The 6-parter is set between the events of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 & 3 (scored by Tom Holkenborg) and follows Knuckles on a journey of self-discovery as he agrees to train Wade as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior. Roc Chen (The Wandering Earth, 7 Guardians of the TombChinese ZodiacSwitch,  Stoker Hills, Sacrifice) will release a soundtrack album for the Chinese sports comedy Pegasus 2. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and will be released digitally tomorrow, February 11 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also check out Chen’s main theme below. Pegasus 2 is written and directed by Han Han and stars Shen Teng, Zheng Yin, Benyu ZHang, Chengcheng Fan and Xiang Wei. The sequel to the 2019 hit movie follows former champion driver Zhang Chi as he has become a driving school instructor to make ends meet, when he gets offered to form a new team to compete in the last Bayinbrook Rally.
