Lionsgate Records will release a new soundtrack album for the ABC drama The Rookie. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s seventh season composed by Jordan Gagne (The Recruit, Altered Carbon, Waco, The Passage, The Rookie: Feds, Brave New World, Treadstone). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 22 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. eOne Music has previously released an album featuring the composer’s music from the first seasons back in 2020. The Rookie is created by Alexi Hawley and stars Nathan Fillion, Mekia Cox, Alyssa Diaz, Richard T. Jones, Eric Winter, Melissa O’Neil, Jenna Dewan, Shawn Ashmore and Lisseth Chavez. Season 7 of the series, which follows John Nolan and the team as they welcome two new rookies and continue the hunt for two dangerous escaped prisoners who have very personal vendettas, currently airs every Tuesday on ABC and is also available to stream on Hulu. The fourth movie based on R.L. Stine’s horror book series is directed by Matt Palmer (Calibre) and stars India Fowler, Suzanna Son, Fina Strazza, Chris Klein, Ella Rubin, David Iacono, Ariana Greenblatt, Lili Taylor and Katherine Waterston. The slasher film takes place during 1988 prom season at Shadyside High and follows a guvsy outsider who puts herself in the running, when the other contending girls start mysteriously disappearing. Premiering tonight is the National Geographic original documentary series Secrets of the Penguins executive produced by James Cameron, produced by Bertie Gregory and narrated by Blake Lively. The show’s original music is composed by Nainita Desai (The Deepest Breath, Nautilus, For Sama, The Tower, Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, The Reason I Jump, Funny Woman, Crossfire). Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past Friday.
