Premiering on Wednesday, October 31 is the new CBS All Access original series Tell Me a Story created by Kevin Williamson and starring James Wolk, Billy Magnussen, Dania Ramirez, Danielle Campbell, Paul Wesley and Kim Cattrall. The show’s original music is composed by John Frizzell (Alien: Resurrection, Dante’s Peak, Office Space, The Following, Beavis and Butthead Do America) Check out our scoring assignment announcement to learn more about the series, which will premiere on Halloween with a new episode dropping every week.

Premiering on Friday, November 2 is the new Amazon original series Homecoming created by Eli Horowitz & Micah Bloomberg, directed by Sam Esmail and starring Julia Roberts, Bobby Cannavale, Stephan James, Shea Whigham, Jeremy Allen White, Alex Karpovsky, Sissy Spacek, Dermot Mulroney, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Hong Chau. The show doesn’t feature an original score. Maggie Phillips serves as the project’s music supervisor. The full first season of the show, which follows a caseworker who helps soldiers transition back to civilian life, will be available to stream on Friday on Amazon Prime. Pino Donaggio’s ‘My Name Is Thomas’ & ‘Mare di grano’ Scores Released

Quartet Records has announced a soundtrack album featuring two new scores composed by Pino Donaggio (Carrie, Dressed to Kill, Blow Out, Body Double, Passion) and performed by the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony. The first title featured on the release is this year’s Italian road movie My Name Is Thomas (Il mio nome è Thomas) directed by and starring Terence Hill asa man  who heads off across the desert on his Harley Davidson and rescues a young woman who has fallen into the hands of two bandits. Donaggio also co-wrote the original song Pure Love performed by Claudia Arvati for the film. Also included on the release is the composer’s music for the Italian drama Mare di grano directed by Fabrizio Guarducci. ‘The Ballad of Buster Scruggs’ Soundtrack Details

The full details of the soundtrack album for the Coen Brothers’ Netflix original movie The Ballad of Buster Scruggs have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Carter Burwell (Fargo, Carol, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Twilight, True Grit). Also included is the original song When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings written by David Rawlings & Gillian Welch and performed by Willie Watson & Tim Blake Nelson, as well as other songs from the movie. The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 16 and physically on November 30 by Milan Records. Visit Amazon to pre-oder the CD. Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the action thriller Hunter Killer directed by Donovan Marsh and starring Gerard Butler, Gary Oldman, Common, Linda Cardellini and Toby Stephens. The film’s original music is composed by Trevor Morris (Immortals, Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen, Vikings, The Borgias). Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening wide is the action comedy Johnny English Strikes Again directed by David Kerr and starring Rowan Atkinson, Ben Miller, Olga Kurylenko, Emma Thompson and Jake Lacy. Howard Goodall (Mr. Bean TV series, Bean, Mr. Bean’s Holiday) has composed the film’s original score. ‘Bigger’ Soundtrack Details

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the biographical drama Bigger. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Rome, Monk, Appaloosa, Pollock, Ugly Betty, Carnivale). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, November 2 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Bigger is directed by George Gallo and stars Tyler Hoechlin, Julianne Hough, Calum Von Moger, Colton Haynes, Kevin Durand, Aneurin Barnard, Victoria Justice, DJ Qualls and Robert Forster. The movie tells the story of bodybuilding pioneer brothers Joe and Ben Weider, who against all odds, battled poverty and anti-Semitism to create the fitness industry as we know it. Cho Young Wuk (aka Yeong-wook Jo) & The Soundtrackings have composed the original music for the new BBC/AMC mini-series The Little Drummer Girl. The show is directed by Chan-woon Park (Stoker) and stars Florence Pugh, Alexander Skarsgård, Michael Shannon, Clare Holman, Kate Sumpter, Charles Dance, Simona Brown and Max Irons. The 6-parter thriller based on John le Carré’s best-selling novel of the same name is set in the late 1970s and follows a fiery actress and idealist whose resolve is tested after she meets a mysterious man while on holiday in Greece. The album features the songs from the film written by Ché Walker & Arthur Darvill and performed by cast members Michaela Coel, Arinzé Kene, Ronke Adekoluejo, George MacKay, Luke Norris and Joseph Dempsie. ‘Deutschland 86’ Score Album Released

BMG has released a soundtrack album for the German TV series Deutschland 86. The album features selections of the original score from the show composed by Golden Globe nominee Reinhold Heil (Cloud Atlas, Run Lola Run, The International, One Hour Photo, Berlin Station). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Deutschland 86 is created by Anna Winger & Jörg Winger and stars Jonas Nay, Maria Schrader, Sylvester Groth, Sonja Gerhardt, Ludwig Trepte and Alexander Beyer. The drama is the sequel to 2015’s Deutschland 83 (which Heil also scored) and follows Martin Rauch – Long banished to AFRICA for his sins in 1983 – as he is called back into the field. The album features the film’s original music composedly Michael Stearns (Samsara, One Eight Seven) & Joseph S DeBeasi (American Sniper). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 26 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Alpha is directed by Albert Hughes and stars Kodi Smit-McPhee and Jóhannes Haukur Johannesson. The movie, which centers on a young man’s friendship with a wolf, opened in theaters nationwide by Sony Pictures this past summer and will be released on VOD on October 30 and will arrive on Blu-ray and DVD on November 13.
