Universal Music will release a new soundtrack album for the musical comedy Pitch Perfect 3. The album features the content of the original soundtrack album, as well as previously unreleased tracks performed by Anna Kendrick, Moisés Arias, Rebel Wilson & John Lithgow, as well as MIKA’s Elle me fit, Martin Solveig’s All Stars, Sigala & Ella Eyre’s Came Here For Love, and a Pitch Perfect Franchise Medley performed by Todrick Hall. The Special Edition soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 2 and will be available to download on Amazon. The movie will examine abuse and cover-ups within the entertainment industry and explore the lack of parity and diversity within the entertainment industry. Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the ITV original series Marcella.The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Lorne Balfe (The LEGO Batman Movie, Pacific Rim Uprising, Genius, The Crown, Terminator Genisys, Home). Also included is the opening titles song Fall performed by The Bug feat. Inga Copeland. The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 9, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Marcella is created by Hans Rosenfeldt & Nicola Larder and stars Anna Friel, Nicholas Pinnock, Nina Sosanya, Ray Panthaki, Jamie Bamber and Jack Doolan. The series is set in contemporary London and follows a detective who returns to the Metropolitan Police’s Murder Squad after a 10-year long career break to start a family. The film directed by Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland, Touching the Void, State of Play) and takes an in-depth look at the life and career of Whitney Houston who broke more records than any other female singer in the history of popular music, with over 200 million album sales worldwide, and inspired a generation of singers from Mariah Carey and Lady Gaga to Beyoncé. Deadline is reporting that Stephen Schwartz is developing an untitled original musical fantasy about Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. The project marks the first original musical from the composter/lyricist since Wicked and follows Andersen as a young man as he gets trapped in a world of his own imagination and searches for a way back to reality, when he comes face-to-face with characters from his own fairy tales.
