‘Vice’ Score Album Details

Decca Records will release a soundtrack album for Adam McKay’s political comedy drama Vice. The album features the film’s original score composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee Nicholas Britell (Moonlight, The Big Short, If Beale Street Could Talk, SuccessionBattle of the Sexes). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 7 and will be available to download on AmazonVice is written and directed by McKay and stars Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Steve Carrell, Sam Rockwell, Jesse Plemons, Alison Pill, Lily Rabe, Tyler Perry, Justin Kirk and LisaGay Hamilton. Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the period drama Colette. The album features the film’s original music composed by Thomas Adès. Also included are a number of classical pieces by Camille Saint-Saëns, Erik Satie and Claude Debussy. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 7 and will be available to download on Amazon. Colette is directed by by Wash Westmoreland and stars Keira Knightley, Dominic West, Denise Gough, Fiona Shaw, Robert Pugh and Eleanor Tomlinson. The movie revolves around the French novelist (author of Gigi and Cheri) who overcomes an abusive marriage to emerge as a leading writer in turn-of-the-century Paris and a candidate for the Nobel Prize in Literature. Max Richter is scoring the upcoming sci-fi drama Ad Astra. The film is directed by James Gray (The Lost City of Z, We Own the Night, The Immigrant) and stars Brad Pitt, Tommy Lee Jones, Ruth Negga, Jamie Kennedy and Donald Sutherland. The movie follows a man who journeys across the solar system in search of his missing father, a dangerous renegade scientist. Gray also co-wrote the screenplay with Ethan Gross. Pitt and Grey are also producing the project for Plan B’s Dede Gardner & Jeremy Kleiner (12 Years a Slave, Moonlight, The Big Short) and RT Features’ Rodrigo Teixeira (Call Me By Your Name), Keep Your Head Productions’ Anthony Katagas (Nerve). Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the film adaptation of Mortal Engines. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL). Mortal Engines is directed by Christian Rivers and stars Hugo Weaving Hera Hilmar, Robert Sheehan, Jihae, Ronan Rafterty, Leila George, Patrick Maladhide and Stephen Lang. Lakeshore Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the sci-fi drama Travelers. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Adam Lastiwka. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, December 14 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. In addition, Lastiwka will release a streamable 27-minute continuous mix of music from season one. The track, which will consist of every piece of music from season one, episode three, as a continuous cue, will be available on Bandcamp through Lakeshore Records on December 14.The label has previously released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score from the first season. Columbia Records will release the official soundtrack album for the drama Vox Lux. The album features the original songs from the movie written Sia and performed by Natalie Portman & Raffey Cassidy (including the track Wrapped Up, which is being submitted for Academy Awards consideration), as well as the film’s original score composed by Scott Walker (The Childhood of a Leader, Pola X). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 14 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein (Stranger Things) have been tapped to score the upcoming drama Native Son. The film is directed by Rashid Johnson and stars Ashton Sanders, Margaret Qualley, Nick Robinson, KiKi Layne, Bill Camp and Sanaa Lathan.
