David Holmes is reteaming with director Steven Soderbergh (Traffic, Erin Brockovich) on the upcoming comedy Logan Lucky. The film stars Daniel Craig, Channing Tatum, Hilary Swank, Katherine Heigl, Adam Driver, Sebastian Stan, Riley Keough, Katherine Waterston, Katie Holmes, David Denman, Jack Quaid and Seth MacFarlane. The movie follows two brothers as they set out to perform an elaborate robbery during a widely watched NASCAR race. Rebecca Blunt wrote the screenplay and Reid Carolin & Gregory Jacobs (Magic Mike, The Knick, Edge of Tomorrow) and Mark Johnson (Rain Man, The Chronicles of Narnia, Breaking Bad) are producing the project. Justin Hurwitz has received the Academy Award for his score for Damien Chazelle’s La La Land. The other nominated composers in the Best Original Score category were Mica Levi (Jackie), Dustin O’Halloran & Hauschka (Lion), Nicholas Britell (Moonlight) and Thomas Newman (Passengers). Hurwitz also received a second Oscar for the original song City of Stars from the movie musical and shared the honor with lyricists Justin Paul and Benj Pasek.
