Music Box Records has announced a soundtrack album for Francois Ozon’s drama By the Grace of God (Grâce à Dieu). The album features the film’s original music composed by Evgueni Galperine & Sacha Galperine (Loveless, The Family, The Wizard of Lies, Madame Bovary). The CD version is now available to order on the label’s official website and the digital version (coming out on February 15) will be available to download here. By the Grace of God is written and directed by Ozon (Swimming Pool, In the House) and stars Melvil Poupaud, Denis Ménochet, Swann Arlaud, Éric Caravaca and François Marthouret. ‘Zog’ Soundtrack Released

Magic Light Pictures has released a soundtrack album for the BBC animated holiday special Zog. The album features the original music from the short composed by René Aubry (The Gruffalo, The Gruffalo’s Child, The Highway Rat, Under the Bombs). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Zoë is directed by Max Lang & Daniel Snaddon and stars Sir Lenny Henry, Hugh Skinner, Tracey Ullman, Patsy Ferran and Kit Harington. The film is based on the book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler and tells the story of a clumsy young dragon who longs to win a gold star at Dragon School. Premiering on Tuesday, February 5, is the BET original series American Soul created by Devon Greggory & Jonathan Prince and starring Sinqua Walls, Jason Dirden, Iantha Richardson, Christopher Jefferson, Katlyn Nichol and Jelani Winston. The show’s original music is composed by Kurt Farquhar (Black Lightning, The King of Queens, Stitchers, The Neighborhood). Premiering on Friday, February 8, is the Hulu original series PEN15 created by Maya Erskine, Anna Konkle & Sam Zvibleman and starring Erskine & Konkle themselves. Leo Birenberg (Cobra Kai, Son of Zorn, Kung Fu Panda: Paws of Destiny) is composing the show’s original music. The comedy executive produced by Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer & Jorma Taccone of The Lonely Island follows two thirteen-year-old outcasts in the year 2000. The only movie opening nationwide this week is the action thriller Miss Bala directed by Catherine Hardwicke and starring Gina Rodriguez, Ismael Cruz Córdova and Anthony Mackie. The film’s original music is composed by Alex Heffes (The Last King of Scotland, Roots, Touching the Void, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom). Opening in limited release this week is the survival drama Arctic co-written and directed by Joe Penna and starring Mads Mikkelsen. The Academy has announced today that Gillian Welch & David Rawlings will perform the song When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings from the Coen Brothers’ The Ballad of Buster Scruggs at this year’s Academy Awards ceremony on February 24. Welch & Rawlings also wrote the song, which is performed in the movie by Willie Watson & Tim Blake Nelson. It was also announced today that Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper will perform the song Shallow from A Star Is Born. As announced yesterday, Jennifer Hudson will perform the nominated song I’ll Fight from RBG and yet-to-be announced performer will sing Where Lost Things Go from Mary Poppins Returns. WaterTower Music has released the Tween Dream Remix of the song Everything Is Awesome by Garfunkel & Oates with Eban Schletter from the animated sequel The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. Everything Is Awesome was originally written by Shawn Patterson for 2014’s first The LEGO Movie and received an Academy Award nomination in the Original Song category.
