The full details of the soundtrack album for Carol Morley’s neo-noir drama Out of Blue have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Clint Mansell (Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan, The Fountain, Moon, Noah). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 15 by Lakeshore Records and is now available for pre-order here. A vinyl edition is also in the works. Out of Blue is written and directed by Morley and stars Patricia Clarkson, Toby Jones, Jacki Weaver, James Caan, Mamie Gummer, Aaron Tveit, Yolanda Ross, Jonathan Majors and Devyn Tyler. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original movie The Boy Harnessed the Wind. The album features the film’s original music composed by Antonio Pinto (City of God, McFarland, USA, Lord of War, Amy, Self/less), as well as the end credits song Lelo Ndakwanitsa written & performed by the composer and Lily Banda. Thomas Newman is set to reteam with director Sam Mendes on the upcoming World War I drama 1917. George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman have been cast in the film. No plot details have been announced yet. Mendes also wrote the screenplay with Krysty Wilson-Cairns and is also producing the Amblin Partners production with Pippa Harris (Penny Dreadful, Call the Midwife), Jayne-Ann Tenggren and Callum McDougall (Into the Woods).
