Nick Cave and Warren Ellis are composing the score for the upcoming crime drama Kings. The film is written and directed by Deniz Gamze Ergüven and stars Halle Berry, Daniel Craig, Lamar Johnson, Kaalan “KR” Walker and Rachel Hilson. The movie follows a recluse who helps a woman and her multiple children when riots erupt in Los Angeles following the 1992 acquittal of the policemen charged with assaulting Rodney King. Kreng (aka Pepijn Caudron) is composing the original music for actress Karen Gillan’s directorial debut, The Party’s Just Beginning. Gillan also stars in the movie alongside Lee Pace, Matthew Beard, Paul Higgins, Siobhan Redmond and Kate Dickie. The movie centers on a woman who is dealing with the suicide of her best friend. Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the documentary Look & See: A Portrait of Wendell Berry. The album features the film’s original music composed by Kerry Muzzey. This past weekend, Marco Beltrami has recorded his score for the upcoming thriller The Snowman. The film is directed by Tomas Alfredson (Let the Right One In, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) and stars Michael Fassbender, Rebecca Ferguson, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Val Kilmer and J.K. Simmons. The movie is based on Jo Nesbø’s global bestseller and follows an elite crime squad’s lead detective who investigates the disappearance of a victim on the first snow of winter and fears an elusive serial killer may be active again. Hossein Amini (Drive, Snow White and the Huntsman) and Peter Straughan (The Men Who Stare at Goats, Frank) wrote the screenplay. Sony Masterworks will release a soundtrack album for Simon Curtis’ biographical drama Goodbye Christopher Robin starring Domhnall Gleeson, Margot Robbie, Will Tilston, Kelly Macdonald, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Alex Lawther. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Carter Burwell (CarolFargoTwilight, In Bruges). The soundtrack will be released on October 13, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon The movie, which focuses on the relationship between Winnie the Poohcreator A.A. Notefornote Music will release a score album for Justin Chon’s indie drama Gook. The album features the film’s original music composed by Roger Suen. The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 25, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples.
