The film is written and directed by Deniz Gamze Ergüven and stars Halle Berry, Daniel Craig, Lamar Johnson, Kaalan “KR” Walker and Rachel Hilson. The movie follows a recluse who helps a woman and her multiple children when riots erupt in Los Angeles following the 1992 acquittal of the policemen charged with assaulting Rodney King. The World Soundtrack Academy has announced the first wave of nominees for the 2017 World Soundtrack Awards in the categories Film Composer of the Year, Best TV Composer and Best Original Song Written Directly for a Film. The winners will be announced at the World Soundtrack Awards & concert on Wednesday, October 18 at the Ghent International Film Festival. Here are the nominations:

Look & See: A Portrait of Wendell Berry is directed by Laura Dunn & Jeff Sewell and looks at the decline of modern U.S. agrarian culture highlighted through the writings and reflections of author Wendell Berry, who embedded himself in rural life upon returning home to Kentucky in 1965. The movie is based on Jo Nesbø’s global bestseller and follows an elite crime squad’s lead detective who investigates the disappearance of a victim on the first snow of winter and fears an elusive serial killer may be active again.
