Don Hardy’s ‘Citizen Penn’ to Feature Original Song Written by Linda Perry and Bono

Linda Perry and Bono have written an original song for the upcoming documentary Citizen Penn. The track, entitled Eden: To Find Love, is performed by Bono and will be featured during the film’s end credits. Perry has also composed the original score for the movie, which is directed by Don Hardy (Pick of the Litter) and revolves around actor and filmmaker Sean Penn’s efforts following the devastating 7.0 earthquake that struck Haiti in 2010. The documentary chronicles the moment Penn arrives on the island, and the ten years since, as Penn the humanitarian carts supplies, builds tents, procures medicine, and calls on his Hollywood friends to join with financial support. The movie tracks Souza’s journey from a man with top secret clearance and total access to the President, whose job description meant he was required to be invisible, to a man who has turned his focus on the present day and who uses his art as commentary to help us understand where we are now as a country and what we might be missing. The movie based on the cartoon characters created by William Hanna & Joseph Barbera follows a scrappy hustler who enlists Tom to help her evict Jerry from a fancy New York hotel before a high class wedding.
