Dan the Automator (Booksmart, Control) has composed the original score for the new Netflix original film Holidate. The movie is directed by John Whitesell (Big Momma’s House 2, Malibu’s Most Wanted) and stars Emma Roberts, Luke Bracey, Jessica Capshaw, Andrew Bachelor, Jake Manley, Frances Fisher, Manish Dayal and Kristin Chenoweth. Lakeshore Records will release the official soundtrack album for the horror satire Bad Hair. The album features the film’s original score composed by Kris Bowers (Green Book, Dear White People, When They See Us, Mrs. America), as well as the original songs from the film by director Justin Simien & actress Kelly Rowland (who stars in the movie as pop star Sandra). Composer Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – FalloutThe LEGO Batman MovieThe Crown, Bad Boys for Life) is reuniting with director Matt Tyrnauer on the upcoming Showtime docu-series The Reagans. The show focuses on the rise and reign of America’s ultimate power couple. The 4-part series explores the many surprisingly unexamined aspects of the Reagan White House, and how Nancy Reagan’s paper-doll image was at odds with the power she ultimately wielded throughout her husband’s presidency. 22D Music has released a soundtrack album for the French animated feature Calamity – A Childhood of Martha Jane Cannary (Calamity, une enfance de Martha Jane Cannary). The album features the film’s original music is composed by Florencia di Concilio (Cartagena, Dark Blood, Love Hotel). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. A vinyl edition will be released later this month. The album features the composer’s original music from the film and will be released digitally tomorrow, October 14 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and all other major digital music stores. Alone is directed by Hyams, written by Mattias Olsson and stars Jules Wilcox, Marc Menchaca and Anthony Heald. The movie is set in the Pacific Northwest wilderness and follows a recently widowed woman who, fleeing the city in a desperate attempt to cope, is kidnapped and locked away in a mysterious man’s cabin. Netflix announced today that Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges & James Bennett Jr. will create the original music for the upcoming animated series Karma’s World. The show is created by Bridges and inspired by his oldest daughter Karma and tells the story of a young Black girl finding her voice and using it to change her world. The series will  feature original songs about issues such as self-esteem, body positivity, discrimination, creativity and more. Bridges is also executive producing the project with Vince Commisso, Darragh O’Connell, Angela C.
