Brian Tyler (Fast & Furious, Iron Man 3, Crazy Rich Asians, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Now You See Me) & Breton Vivian (Five Feet Apart, Yellowstone) have teamed up to score the upcoming romantic drama Redeeming Love. The film is directed by D.J. Caruso (Disturbia, I Am Number Four) and stars Logan Marshall-Green, Abigail Cowen, Nina Dobrev, Famke Janssen, Tom Lewis and Eric Dane. The movie based on the novel of the same title by Francine Rivers (who also wrote the screenplay) is set against the romantic backdrop of the California Gold Rush of 1850 and centers on a woman who was sold into prostitution as a child and has survived through hatred and self-loathing, when she meets a man and discovers there is no brokenness that love can’t heal. PAN has announced a soundtrack album for the documentary Island of the Hungry Ghosts. The album features the film’s original music composed by Aaron Cupples (Nocturnal, The Disappearance of My Mother). Also included are selections of sound recordist Leo Dolgan’s field recordings from the movie. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 29 and is available for pre-order here. Guster lead singer Ryan Miller (Safety Not Guaranteed, The Kings of Summer, In a World…, The Fundamentals of Caring) has composed the original music for the upcoming comedy How It Ends. The film is written and directed by Daryl Wein (White Rabbit, Consumed) & Zoe Lister-Jones (Band Aid) and stars Lister-Jones herself, alongside Cailee Spaeny, Olivia Wilde, Fred Armisen, Helen Hunt and Lamorne Morris. The movie is set on the day an asteroid is scheduled to obliterate Earth and centers on a freewheeling woman who scores an invite to one last wild gathering before it all goes down and – with little help from her whimsical younger – embarks on a journey by foot across Los Angeles as she seeks to make peace with her regrets. Studio Ghibli will release a soundtrack album for the animated feature Earwig and the Witch. The album features the film’s original music composed by Satoshi Takebe (From Up on Poppy Hill, The Adventures of Super Monkey, Ronja, the Robber’s Daughter). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 6 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Earwig and the Witch is directed by Goro Miyazaki and features the voices of Richard E. Grant, Kacey Musgraves and Dan Stevens. The movie is based on the children’s novel by Diana Wynne Jones and follows the title character whose life changes dramatically when a strange couple takes her in and she is forced to live with a selfish witch and discovers a world of spells and potions. The show is directed by Kate Herron and stars Tom Hiddleston in the title role, alongside Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. The 6-parter takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame and follows the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow. La-La Land Records has announced two new soundtrack albums for the Netflix original series Cobra Kai featuring the original score from the show’s second and third seasons composed by Leo Birenberg (Jurassic World: Camp CretaceousSon of ZornPEN15) & Zach Robinson (Impractical Jokers: The Movie, Die Hart). The Season 2 album features all tracks from the original 2019 soundtrack, as well as ten previously unreleased bonus tracks (visit Amazon or the label’s official website to order the CD). The Season 3 soundtrack features 19 bonus tracks not included on the digital release, which is set to come out this coming Friday (click here to order the 2-CD set). The film marks the feature directorial debut of Jerrod Carmichael and stars himself, alongside Christopher Abbott, Tiffany Haddish, J.B. Smoove, Lavell Crawford and Henry Winkler. The movie follows a man who has reached a place where he feels the only way out is to end things and teams up with his best friend, who is recovering from a failed suicide attempt, to execute a double suicide plan.
