Steven Price has been tapped to score the upcoming action thriller American Assassin. The film is directed by Michael Cuesta (Kill the Messenger) and stars Dylan O’Brien, Michael Keaton, Sanaa Lathan, Shiva Negar, Taylor Kitsch and Scott Adkins. The movie is based on the novel of the same title by Vince Flynn and follows Mitch Rapp, a CIA black ops recruit and Cold War veteran Stan Hurley who are enlisted to investigate a wave of apparently random attacks on both military and civilian targets. Stephen Schiff (Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps), Michael Finch (Predators) and Edward Zwick (Glory, Legends of the Fall) & Marshall Herskovitz (The Last Samurai) wrote the screenplay.

‘Dodgeball’ Reunion Charity Video Features Music by Theodore Shapiro
Theodore Shapiro has composed the original music for a charity video, which features Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Justin Long and Christine Taylor reprising their roles from the 2004 comedy hit Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, which the composer also scored. The short, which co-stars Missi Pyle, Jamal Duff and Brandon Molale is directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (We’re the Millers, Central Intelligence) who helmed the original feature and promotes a charity dodgeball event. Donations benefit The Stiller Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports children around the world by providing educational opportunities to help them realize their full potential. Gabriel Yared to Score Rupert Everett’s ‘The Happy Prince’
Gabriel Yared is composing the music for the upcoming biographical drama The Happy Prince. The film marks the directorial debut of actor Rupert Everett who also stars in the movie with Colin Firth, Edwin Thomas, Colin Morgan, Emily Watson, Tom Wilkinson, Miranda Richardson, Beatrice Dalle and John Standing. The movie tells the story of the last days of famed playwright Oscar Wilde. Everett also wrote the screenplay. Philipp Kreuzer (Death of a Superhero, Morgan’s Last Love), Katja Kuhlmann and Jörg Schulze (The Silence, Five Years) are producing the project.

Lesley Barber has been tapped to score the upcoming romantic drama Irreplaceable You. The film marks the feature directorial debut of producer Stephanie Laing (Veep, Vice Principals) and stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michiel Huisman, Christopher Walken, Steve Coogan, Jacki Weaver, Timothy Simons, Claire Holt, Alanna Masterson, Merritt Weaver, Erin Richards and Brian Tyree Henry. The movie focuses on Abbie and Sam, soulmates since the age of 8, who were destined to be together forever until death got in the way. Bess Wohl wrote the screenplay.
Martin Phipps to Score James Kent’s ‘The Aftermath’
Martin Phipps has been hired to score the upcoming period drama The Aftermath. The film is directed by James Kent (Testament of Youth, The Thirteenth Tale) and stars Keira Knightley, Alexander Skarsgard, Jason Clarke, Alexander Scheer, Kate Phillips, Martin Compston and Fionn O’Shea. The movie based on the novel by Rhidian Brook takes place in the aftermath of World War II and follows a British colonel and his wife who are assigned to live in Hamburg during the post-war reconstruction. Joe Shrapnel & Anna Waterhouse (Race, Frankie & Alice) wrote the screenplay. Ridley Scott (Gladiator, Alien, The Martian) is producing the project through his Scott Free production company, alongside Malte Grunert (A Most Wanted Man, Perfect Sense) and Jack Arbuthnott.
Jeff Cardoni to Score Michael Winnick’s ‘Malicious’
Jeff Cardoni is reteaming with director Michael Winnick on the upcoming horror thriller Malicious. The film starring Josh Stewart, Delroy Lindo, Bojana Novakovic, Melissa Bolona and Yvette Yates follows a young college professor and his pregnant wife who find and open an antique box in their new home, unwittingly releasing a malevolent entity with murderous intentions. Winnick also wrote the screenplay. Patrick Rizzotti and Brett Forbes (The Collector, Pride) are producing the project for Fortress Features.

Kevin Kiner has recently composed the music for the upcoming thriller Inconceivable. The film is directed by Jonathan Baker and stars Nicolas Cage, Gina Gershon, Faye Dunaway, Nicky Whelan and Natalie Eva Marie. The movie follows a mother who looks to escape her abusive past by moving to a new town where she befriends another mother, who grows suspicious of her. Chloe King (B. Monkey) wrote the screenplay. Randall Emmett & George Furla (Lone Survivor, End of Watch, 2 Guns) are producing the project with Baker, Mark Stewart (Empire State, Marauders) and Hilary Shor (Children of Men).

Michael McCuistion, Kristopher Carter and Lolita Ritmanis have recently composed the music for the upcoming DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation film Batman and Harley Quinn. The film is based on an original story by animation icon Bruce Timm and features the voices of Kevin Conroy as Batman, Loren Lester as Nightwing, Melissa Rauch as Harley Quinn, Paget Brewster as Poison Ivy, Kevin Michael Richardson as Floronic Man and John DiMaggio as Swamp Thing. The movie directed by Sam Liu follows Batman and Nightwing as they are forced to team with Harley Quinn to stop a global threat brought about by Poison Ivy and Jason Woodrue/Floronic Man.
Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans to Score Matthew Ross’ ‘Siberia’
Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans are set to reteam with director Matthew Ross on the upcoming thriller Siberia. The film starring Keanu Reeves, Ana Ularu, Pasha Lychnikoff and Molly Ringwald. The movie follows an American diamond merchant who travels to Russia to sell rare blue diamonds of questionable origin and finds himself in a love-obsessed relationship with a Russian cafe owner. Scott B. Smith (A Simple Plan, The Ruins) wrote the screenplay. Reeves is also producing the project with Stephen Hamel (Passengers, Henry’s Crime), Gabriela Bacher (What a Man), Braden Aftergood and David Hansen (Lovesong).
George Kallis to Score ‘Cliffs of Freedom’
George Kallis has been hired to score the upcoming historical drama Cliffs of Freedom. The film marks the feature directorial debut of visual effects artist Van Ling and stars Christopher Plummer, Tania Raymonde, Patti LuPone, Kevin Corrigan, Jan Uddin, Billy Zane and Raza Jeffrey. The movie centers on the ill-fated romance between a Greek village girl and a conflicted Turkish officer during the dawn of the Greek War for Independence against the Ottoman Empire in 1821. Ling also wrote the screenplay based on a story by Marianne Metropoulos who is producing the project with Casey Cannon.
