The film is directed by Morgan Matthews and stars Jenny Agutter, Sheridan Smith, Tom Courtenay, John Bradley, Beau Gadsdon, K.J. Aikens, Eden Hamilton, Austin Haynes and Zac Cudby. The sequel to the 1970 classic The Railway Children (scored by Johnny Douglas) is set 40 years after the events of the original and follows a new group of children who are evacuated to a Yorkshire village during World War II, where they encounter a young soldier.

Rob Simonsen (Ghostbusters: Afterlife, The Adam Project, Foxcatcher, The Way Back, (500) Days of Summer, The Age of Adeline) and Duncan Blickenstaff (Alex, Inc., Outmatched, LA to Vegas) have composed the original score for the new Disney+ original movie Hollywood Stargirl. Michael Penn (Girls, Boogie Nights, Masters of Sex) has previously been announced to compose music for the film and is credited as the project’s executive music producer and for providing additional music to the teen comedy drama co-written and directed by Julia Hart and starring Grace VanderWaal, Judy Greer, Elijah Richardson, Tyrel Jackson Williams, Nija Okoru, Al Madrigal, Judd Hirsch and Uma Thurman.

The movie is directed by Trish Sie (Pitch Perfect 3, The Sleepover) and stars Gina Rodriguez, Tom Ellis, Damon Wayans Jr., Liza Koshy, Joel Courtney and Augustus Prew. The romantic comedy follows a Chicago sportswriter who has spent years devising successful hook-up “plays”, when she unexpectedly becomes infatuated with one of her targets and is forced to confront the idea of a true relationship.
Tyler Bates & Timothy Williams Scoring Ti West’s ‘Pearl’
Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Watchmen, Deadpool 2, 300, John Wick, The Punisher) and Timothy Williams (Brightburn, Finding You, Walking with the Enemy, Wild Horses) have teamed up to score the upcoming X prequel Pearl. The film is written and directed by Ti West (In a Valley of Violence, The House of the Devil) and stars Mia Goth who reprises her role as Pearl from the director’s feature X, which was released earlier this year. The horror movie is set during World War I and will explore the origins of Pearl with Goth playing a younger version of the character.

The film is written and directed by Rodrigo García (Albert Nobbs, In Treatment) and stars Ewan McGregor, Ethan Hawke, Maribel Verdú, Maxim Swinton and Sophie Okonedo. The movie follows two half-brothers who have lived in the shadow of a terrible father when they get a chance to reinvent themselves at his funeral.
Dario Marianelli to Score Travis Knight’s ‘Wildwood’
Composer Dario Marianelli (Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, V for Vendetta, Darkest Hour, Anna Karenina, Paddington 2) is reuniting with director Travis Knight on LAIKA’s upcoming animated feature Wildwood. The film is based on the bestselling novel written by The Decemberists lead singer and songwriter Colin Meloy and illustrated by artist Carson Ellis and follows the adventures of Prue McKeel as she sets off to the forests outside Portland’s city limits to find her baby brother who has been taken by a murder of crows.

The film is directed by Amanda Micheli and focuses on international superstar Jennifer Lopez who has sold 80 million records and inspired people for decades with her perseverance and cultural contributions. The movie serves as the kickoff to the second half of Lopez’s life and centers on her evolution as a Latina, a mother, and an artist.
Bono and The Edge in Talks to Compose Original Song and Score for Jim Sheridan’s ‘North Star’
Variety is reporting that U2’s Bono and lead guitarist The Edge are in discussions to write and perform an original song and score the drama North Star. The film directed by Jim Sheridan (My Left Foot, In the Name of the Father) is based on the filmmaker’s early life in Northern Ireland and tells the coming-of-age story of a 17-year-old who lives with his rough-around-the-edges father and younger brother and finds his world turned upside down when a teenage orphan moves in to live with them.

The full music team credits for Joseph Kosinksi’s Top Gun: Maverick have been revealed.
