Singer/songwriter Angel Olsen has made her feature film scoring debut on the the upcoming Australian drama Blaze. She has co-scored the film directed by painter Del Kathryn Barton (The Nightingale and the Rose) and starring Julia Savage, Simon Baker, Yael Stone, Josh Lawson and Sofia Hampson with Sam Petty. The movie centers on a teenager who is the sole witness to a shocking crime and – struggling to make sense of what she saw – unleashes the wrath of a dragon coming from her wild imagination. Barton also co-wrote the screenplay with Huna Amweero. Samantha Jennings (Cargo, Buoyancy) is producing the project for Causeway Films. Blaze is premiering this month at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival.
