Premiering tonight is the new Showtime original series Moonbase 8 created by Fred Armisen, Jonathan Krisel, Tim Heidecker & John C. Reilly and starring Armisen, Heidecker and Reilly themselves. The show’s original music is composed by Steven Drozd of The Flaming Lips who made his scoring debut on the comedy. The A24 production centers on three astronauts stationed at NASA’s Moon Base Simulator in a remote part of the Arizona desert as they encounter many obstacles including loneliness, self-doubt and their own incompetence. Premiering tomorrow, November 9, is the HBO original series Industry created by Mickey Down & Konrad Kay and starring Myha’la Herrold, Marisa Abela, Nabhaan Rizwan, Harry Lawtey, David Jonsson, Conor MacNeill and Ken Leung. Electronic music producer Nathan Micay has composed the show’s original music. Premiering on Tuesday, November 10, is the FX on Hulu original series A Teacher created by Hannah Fidell based on her 2013 feature of the same name and starring Kate Mara and Nick Robinson. The show’s original music is composed by Keegan DeWitt (Hearts Beat Loud, I’ll See You in My Dreams, Gemini, Divorce, The Hero, All the Bright Places, Her Smell). Premiering on Wednesday, November 11, is the Netflix original series The Liberator created by Jeb Stuart based on the book The Liberator: One World War II Soldier’s 500-Day Odyssey by Alex Kershaw, directed by Grzegorz Jonkajtys and starring Bradley James, Martin Sensmeier, Jose Miguel Vasquez, Forrest Goodluck, Bryan Hibbard and Matt Mercurio. The show’s original music is composed by Ben Holst, Jason Todd Shannon and Mikolai Stroinski. The 4-part drama, which tells the true story of the battlefield odyssey of maverick U.S. Army officer Felix Sparks and his infantry unit as they fought for over five hundred days to liberate Europe, will be available to stream on Netflix.
Premiering in the U.S. on Friday, November 13 is the British series Alex Rider created by Guy Burt based on the novels by Anthony Horowitz and starring Otto Farrant, Stephen Dillane, Vicky McClure, Andrew Buchan, Brenock O’Connor and Ronkẹ Adékoluẹjo. Raffertie (aka Benjamin Stefanski) (White Dragon, Zone 414) is composing the show’s original music. The spy thriller, which has already been renewed for a second season, premiered in the UK earlier this year on Amazon Prime and is making its U.S. debut on IMDb TV.
Also premiering on Friday is the drama The Ride directed by Alex Ranarivelo and starring Shane Graham, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Sasha Alexander, Ali Afshar, Bryan Craig, George Kosturos and Jessica Michelle. The film’s original music is composed by Jamie Christopherson (Born to Race, American Wrestler: The Wizard, Bennett’s War, Running Wild).
