H. Scott Salinas (A Private War, Warrior, The Banker, Cartel Land, Birth of the Dragon, Full Swing) has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Patrick and the Whale. The album features the film’s original music composed by Salinas and Matthew Atticus Berger (A Party to Die For, Bending the Arc, Dead in the Water, Christmas Harmony). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the composers’ first track (What Are They Thinking) below. Patrick and the Whale is directed by Mark Fletcher, narrated by Jason Scott Lee and follows Patrick Dykstra, a man who has dedicated his life to his great passion: diving with and filming whales, and – over the years – has learned how whales communicate, how they behave in his immediate presence and how they perceive other creatures in the water. The documentary, which premiered at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival, was released this past February on PBS and is now also available on DVD.
