Premiering on Wednesday, August 10, is the Disney+ animated shorts series I Am Groot written and directed by Kirsten Lepore and starring Vin Diesel. The show’s original music is composed by Daniele Luppi (Assassination of a High School President, Magic City, Hell Ride). Hollywood Records & Marvel Music have released a digital single featuring the composer’s score this past Friday. Premiering on Friday, August 12, is the Apple TV+ limited series Five Days at Memorial created by John Ridley & Carlton Cuse and starring Vera Farmiga, Cherry Jones, Julie Ann Emery, Adepero Oduye, Joe Carroll, Michael Gaston, Cornelius Smith Jr. and Molly Hager. Also premiering on Friday is the family superhero movie Secret Headquarters directed by Henry Joost & Ariel Schulman and starring Owen Wilson, Michael Peña, Walker Scobell and Jesse Williams. The film’s original music is composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – FalloutBlack Widow, The LEGO Batman Movie, His Dark MaterialsThe Wheel of TimeTop Gun: Maverick). Another show premiering on Friday is the FX docuseries Children of the Underground directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite & Ted Gesing and executive produced by Dan Cogan, Liz Garbus, Jon Bardin and Kate Barry. The show’s original music is composed by Ariel Marx (Shiva Baby, Candy, The Tale, Rebel Hearts, To Dust, Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer). The. The 5-parter, which tells the true story of vigilante Faye Yager who built an underground network that hid hundreds of mothers and children, saving them from the alleged abuse of husbands and fathers, will debut on FX and will also be available to stream on Hulu.

Premiering on Saturday, August 13, is the documentary The Princess directed by Ed Perkins about Princess Diana. Martin Phipps (The Crown, The Aftermath, Woman in Gold, The Honourable Woman) has composed the film’s original music.
