Premiering on Thursday, February 17, is the Paramount+ animated series Big Nate based on the best-selling children’s books written and drawn by Lincoln Peirce and starring Ben Giroux, Rob Delaney, Dove Cameron, Arnie Pantoja, Daniel MK Cohen, Charlie Schlatter, Bryce Charles, Kevin M Richardson and Carolyn Hennessy. Frederik Wiedmann (The Dragon Prince, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Field of Lost Shoes, Occupation: Rainfall, Hangman, Doom: Annihilation) is composing the show’s original music. The Nickelodeon Animation Studios production, which follows an 11-year-old boy and his best friends as they navigate sixth grade with humor and style, will be available to stream on Paramount+.
Also premiering on Thursday is the Netflix original film Fistful of Vengeance directed by Roel Reiné and starring Iko Uwais, Lewis Tan, Pearl Thusi, Lawrence Kao, Jason Tobin, Yayaying Rhatha Phongam, Francesca Ploypailin Corney, Simon Kook and JuJu Chan Szeto. The movie’s original music is composed by Toby Chu (Bao, Unforgettable, Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return, Covert Affairs, Centaurworld, Henchmen). Premiering on Friday, February 18, is the Apple TV+ original series Severance created by Dan Erickson, directed by Ben Stiller and starring Adam Scott, Patricia Arquette, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, Dichen Lachman, Tramell Tillman, Britt Lower, Jen Tullock and Zach Cherry. Theodore Shapiro (Tropic Thunder, Bombshell, The Devil Wears Prada, Destroyer, Ghostbusters, Marley & Me, Spy) is composing the show’s original music. Also premiering on Friday is the horror sequel Texas Chainsaw Massacre directed by David Blue Garcia and starring Sarah Yarkin, Elsie Fisher, Jacob Latimore, Mark Burnham, Moe Dunford, Olwen Fouéré, Alice Krige, Jessica Allain and Nell Hudson. The film’s original music is composed by Colin Stetson (Hereditary, Color Out of Space, The First, Barksins, Mayday). Milan Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score on Friday. Ego Plum (Jellystone, SpongeBob SquarePants, Harvey Breaks, Welcome to the Waynes) is composing the show’s original music. The Netflix Animation production, which follows the misadventures of loveable, impulsive scamp Cuphead and his cautious but easily swayed brother Mugman, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
