The show’s original score is composed by Amanda Jones (Naomi, Twenties, Good Trouble, Adventure Time: Distant Lands, Cherish the Day). The comedy, which centers on a true Kansan on the surface who struggles to fit the hometown mold, will air every Sunday night on HBO and will also be available to stream on HBO Max.
Premiering on Tuesday, January 18, is the Hulu original series How I Met Your Father developed by Isaac Aptaker & Elizabeth Berger and starring Hilary Duff, Kim Cattrall, Francia Raisa, Chris Lowell, Suraj Sharma, Tom Ainsley and Tien Tran. Premiering in the U.S. on Thursday, January 20, is the Spanish limited series La Fortuna co-written and directed by Alejandro Amenábar and starring Stanley Tucci, Álvaro Mel, Ana Polvorosa, Clarke Peters, T’Nia Mille, Karra Elejalde, Manolo Solo, Blanca Portillo and Pedro Casablanc. The show’s original music is composed by Roque Banos (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead, The Machinist, In the Heart of the Sea, The Girl in the Spider’s Web, Come Play, Sexy Beast). The 6-part adventure thriller, which is inspired by the Spanish graphic novel El Tesoro del Cisne Negro by Paco Roca & Guillermo Corra and centers on a mission to recover sunken treasures, premiered in Spain last fall and will make its U.S. debut on AMC+.
Also premiering on Thursday is the Freeform original series Single Drunk Female created by Simone Finch and starring Sofia Black-D’Elia, Rebecca Henderson, Ally Sheedy, Sasha Compère, Lily Mae Harrington and Garrick Bernard. Son Lux’s Ryan Lott (Paper Towns, The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, Mean Dreams) & Keir Schmidt are composing the show’s original score. Also premiering on Thursday is the Netflix original film The Royal Treatment directed by Rick Jacobson and starring Laura Marano, Mena Massoud, Chelsie Preston Crayford, Grace Bentley-Tsibuah, Cameron Rhodes, Sonia Gray, Elizabeth Hawthorne, Amanda Billing, James Gaylyn, Paul Norell and Teuila Blakely. The movie’s original music is composed by John R. Graham (Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV , Royal Affair, Bad Girl Island). The romantic comedy, which follows a New York hairdresser as she seizes the chance to work at the wedding of a charming prince, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
Premiering on Friday, January 21, is the Amazon original series As We See It developed by Jason Katims based on the Israeli format On the Spectrum and starring Rick Glassman, Albert Rutecki, Sosie Bacon, Sue Ann Pien, Chris Pang and Joe Mantegna.
