David Russo (Gotham, Nikita, The Tomorrow People) is currently scoring the upcoming Epix original series Pennyworth. The show is developed by Bruno Heller (The Mentalist, Rome) based on DC characters created by Bob Kane with Bill Finger and stars Jack Bannon, Paloma Faith, Ben Aldridge, Hainsley Lloyd Bennett, Ryan Fletcher, Jason Flemyng and Polly Walker. The drama centers on Bruce Wayne’s legendary butler, Alfred Pennyworth, a former British SAS soldier who forms a security company and goes to work with Thomas Wayne, Bruce’s billionaire father, in 1960’s London. Heller is also executive producing the Warner Horizon Scripted Television with Danny Cannon (CSI: Miami, Judge Dredd). Russo is also scoring Heller’s Fox drama Gotham, which will return for the last episodes of its fifth and final season on April 18. Pennyworth will premiere this June on Epix.
