Anne Nikitin (American Animals, Mrs. Wilson, Calibre, This Beautiful Fantastic) has signed on to score the upcoming British family fantasy adventure Four Kids and It. The film is directed by Andy De Emmony (West Is West, Love Bite) and stars Matthew Goode, Russell Brand, Paula Patton, Ashley Aufderheide, Teddie Malleson-Allen, Billy Jenkins, Ellie-Mae Siame, as well as Michael Caine as the voice of It. The movie is based on Jacqueline Wilson’s children’s book of the same title and follows four kids who are horrified to learn that their beach vacation is in fact a bonding trip with their potential future step-siblings and accidentally stumble upon a magical creature who can grant them one wish a day.

‘Around the Sun’ Soundtrack Details
A soundtrack album will be released for the British indie romantic drama Around the Sun. The album features the film’s original music composed by Steven Gutheinz (Night of the Living Deb, Why We Ride). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 22 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Around the Sun is directed by Oliver Krimpas and stars Cara Theobold and Gethin Anthony. The movie is set at a repossessed chateau in France and follows a film location scout who falls for its flirtatious representative, who recounts the story of an influential book written there. The drama will have its world premiere next month at the Cleveland International Film Festival.

Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Fast & Furious, Crazy Rich Asians) has been hired to score the upcoming thriller Ready or Not. The film is directed by Tyler Gillett & Matt Bettinelli-Olpin (Devil’s Due) and stars Samara Weaving, Andie MacDowell, Adam Brody, Mark O’Brien and Henry Czerny. The movie centers on a young bride as she joins her new husband’s rich, eccentric family in a time-honored tradition that turns into a lethal game with everyone fighting for their survival.
CBS’ ‘The Red Line’ to Feature Music by Blake Neely & Sherri Chung
Blake Neely & Sherri Chung are scoring the upcoming CBS limited series The Red Line. The show is created by Caitlin Parrish & Erica Weiss and stars Noah Wyle, Emayatzy Corinealdi, Noel Fisher, Howard Charles, Aliyah Royale, Michael Patrick Thornton, Vinny Chhibber and Elizabeth Laidlaw. The 8-part drama follows three very different Chicago families as they journey toward hope and healing after a tragedy causes them all to consider how race and racial biases affect their lives. Ava DuVernay (Selma, A Wrinkle in Time) is executive producing the Warner Bros. Television & CBS Television Studios production with Greg Berlanti & Sarah Schechter, Parrish, Sunil Nayar (Revenge) and Kevin Hooks (Prison Break).
John Debney & Germaine Franco to Score James Bobin’s ‘Dora the Explorer’
John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, The Jungle Book, Iron Man 2) & Germaine Franco (Tag, Dope) are teaming up to score the upcoming family adventure Dora the Explorer. The film is directed by James Bobin (The Muppets, Muppets Most Wanted) and stars Isabela Moner, Eugenio Derbez, Eva Longoria, Michael Peña, Jeffery Wahlberg, Nicholas Coombe, Madeleine Madden, Adriana Barraza, Q’orianka Kilcher, Pia Miller and Temuera Morrison. Benicio del Toro also stars as the voice of Swiper. The movie is based on Nickelodeon’s animated TV series and follows the title character as she has to save her parents and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost Inca civilization.
’70 Big Ones’ (’70 Binladens’) Soundtrack Released
Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish thriller 70 Big Ones (70 Binladens). The album features the film’s original music composed by Fernando Velazquez (The Impossible, The Orphanage, Mama, A Monster Calls, Devil, Hercules, Crimson Peak). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check the full track list and listen to out audio samples. A CD version will be coming out later this month. 70 Big Ones is directed by Koldo Serra and stars Emma Suárez, Nathalie Poza, Hugo Silva, Bárbara Goenaga, Daniel Pérez Prada, Kandido Uranga and Susana Abaitua. The thriller just opened in Spanish theaters this past weekend.
Jeff Russo Scoring Hulu’s ‘The Act’
Jeff Russo (Fargo, Legion, Star Trek: Discovery, The Night Of) is the composer of the new Hulu original series The Act. The show is created by Nick Antosca & Michelle Dean based on an original Buzzfeed article by Dean and stars Patricia Arquette, Joey King, Chloë Sevigny, AnnaSophia Robb and Calum Worthy. The first season of the anthology series follows a girl trying to escape the toxic relationship she has with her overprotective mother and opens a Pandora’s box of secrets, one that ultimately leads to murder. Antosca (The Forest) & Dean are also executive producing the project with Greg Shephard and Britton Rizzio (American Ultra).
Soundtrack Album for Lifetime’s ‘The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe’ to Be Released
Strong Place Music will release a soundtrack album for the Lifetime mini-series The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe. The album features the film’s original music composed by David Carbonara (Mad Men, The Guru, Spanking the Monkey, Are You Here, The Romanoffs). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, March 15 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe is directed by Laurie Collyer and stars Kelli Garner, Susan Sarandon, Emily Watson, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Eva Amurri Martino. The 2-parter explores Monroe’s complicated relationships with her mother, foster mother and legal guardian, her struggles with mental illness and her ties with the Kennedys.
Danny Elfman & Chris Bacon to Score F. Gary Gray’s ‘Men in Black: International’
Danny Elfman & Chris Bacon have been tapped to score the upcoming sci-fi comedy Men in Black: International. The film is directed by F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton, The Italian Job) and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Rebecca Ferguson, Kumail Nanjiani, Rafe Spall, Laurent Bourgeois, Larry Bourgeois, Emma Thompson and Liam Neeson. The movie follows the title characters as they tackle their biggest, most global threat to date: a mole in the Men in Black organization. Art Marcum & Matt Holloway (Iron Man) wrote the screenplay.
Arcade Fire’s ‘Baby Mine’ Cover from ‘Dumbo’ Released
Walt Disney Records has released Arcade Fire‘s cover of the song Baby Mine from Tim Burton’s live-action film adaptation of Disney’s Dumbo. The track was originally written by Frank Churchill and Ned Washington for the studio’s 1941 animated movie and was newly recorded for the end credits sequence of the remake. The song is being released as a digital single today and is now available to download on Amazon. Listen to the full track after the jump. A full soundtrack album for the movie, which also features Danny Elfman’s score, will be released digitally on March 29 and physically the following week.
