The line-up of the 5th Annual Musical Anatomy of a Superhero panel has been announced. A number of Hollywood film and TV composers will explain the process and challenges of creating the musical voice behind the superhero and their environment as well as collaborating with the director, producers and the franchise. Participating composers include Marco Beltrami who recently scored James Mangold’s Logan, and has previously scored comic book movies including The Wolverine, Fantastic Four and Hellboy, Brian Tyler whose superhero film credits include Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor: The Dark World and Iron Man 3 and Ludwig Goransson who is making his scoring debut in the genre on Marvel’s upcoming Black Panther. Also participating are Mark Isham who is scoring Marvel’s upcoming TV series Cloak & Dagger and previously scored the original Blade movie and David Russo who is scoring Fox’s Gotham. The event will be moderated by Ray Costa of Costa Communications and will take place on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10:00am at the Indigo Ballroom at the San Diego Convention Center.
