A soundtrack album will be released for the French/Belgian drama From the Land of the Moon (Mal de pierres). The album features the film’s original music composed by Daniel Pemberton (Steve Jobs, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Counselor, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword). The soundtrack is set to be overseas on October 21, 2016. From the Land of the Moon is directed by Nicole Garcia and stars Marion Cotillard, Louis Garrel, Alex Brendemühl, Brigitte Rouan, Victoire Du Bois, Aloïse Sauvage and Daniel Para. The movie is based on the novel by Milena Agu and revolves around a woman in post-World War II Europe who’s torn between the man she’s meant to marry and a charming war veteran. The drama premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and will be released in France on October 19. The movie was picked up for domestic distribution by IFC Films/Sundance Selects and is expected to arrive stateside in 2017.
